Early years

Pavel Lobkov was born on September 21, 1967 in Sestroretsk, a small resort town in the Leningrad Region. After graduating from high school, he entered the biological faculty of Leningrad State University, where he specialized in botany. After graduating in 1988, he entered graduate school. For some time he worked in the botanical garden, trained in Holland. But he never defended his dissertation, because he became interested in journalism.

For two years (2006-2008) he worked as the host of the program "Progress with Pavel Lobkov" in St. Petersburgchannel five.
