Alexander Valentinovich Gorsky is a unique leader who managed to set up film production in the USSR countries. Thanks to his merits, the country can enjoy brilliant films influenced by the work of Alexander and his family.

Young years

Alexander himself was born on August 24, 1898 in the Kirovograd region, in Alexandria. Nothing is known about Gorsky's parents. According to the notes of compatriots, it was established that Alexander's mother lived all her life in one of the villages near Alexandria. The father died early, leaving the mother to work in a factory to feed her two children.

Having received a school education, Alexander Gorsky went to study at a vocational school, where he received carpentry skills. After completing his studies, he had to go to the front to defend the interests of the Motherland in the First World War. Years later, he joined the Red Army.

When the liberation war took place on the territory of Ukraine, the young man began working in the theater of his native city as the main assistant director. By the way, this experience became a key one in the life of Alexander Gorsky.

In 1919 he began a relationship with Elena Davydovna Bessmertnaya. They quickly developed into a strong marriage. Alexander adopted the son of Elena Davydovna - Arseny. A little later, their daughter Alla was born, who also chose a creative path, was engaged in painting and artistic activities.

When the situation at home more or less stabilized, Alexander showed enthusiasm and, together with his comrades, created a creative association in his native city. Mahudram has become a favorite place for the Alexandrians.

Alexander supported the work of the Soviet government. That is why in 1920 he moved with his family to Y alta, where he began active political activity. A little later, his merits helped him become an outstanding organizer of the work of the Soviet film industry.

Meanwhile, his wife was teaching. When the family later moved to Leningrad, she took up the design of costumes and outfits for actors, which became her main activity.

Ten years before the war, Alexander Gorsky, beloved by the actors, became the director of the Y alta film production. The work lasted only two years, but made a significant contribution to the history of cinema. This was especially important at a time when the entire film industry was changing, which was becoming more and more popular every day.

Due to the fact that he was able to normalize the process of film production in the country on his own, critics' reviews of Alexander Gorsky were very positive. The popularity of his paintings increased.

After installedthe final point on the issue of the Y alta film factory, he and his family went to Moscow. An offer was immediately received for the leadership of the Vostokfilm trust. And it was accepted. Thanks to his connections and skills as a responsible organizer, he began work at the Leningrad Film Studio, which continued until the outbreak of World War II.

While working, he realized that managing such a large production requires certain creative skills. That is why he became a student of the faculty of special purpose. At this faculty, future leaders received the most necessary skills in various fields of science and art. Through this program, many mentors and leaders have gained the necessary knowledge.

Several months the director of the Leningrad film studio participated in hostilities with Finland. Before the tragic time of World War II came, he traveled to Mongolia with studio members to film His Name is Sukhbaatar.

When World War II began, Alexander Gorsky was described as a man who stubbornly rushes into battle. Seeing masculine qualities in his stepfather, Arseny also decided to get into the militia ranks of the partisans. He took part in the defense of Leningrad for a long time, but died in battle in 1943.

Meanwhile, the wife was going through a difficult period. In her arms was the youngest daughter, whom they named Alla. In Leningrad they had to hold out for two hungry years. When Elena Davydovna found out that her son had died from her first marriage, shedecided to go to Alma-Ata, where her husband worked for the united industry. They managed to live there for a short and comfortable couple of months.

Leadership

In the same year they went to Kyiv, where the head of the family took over as director of the film studio (1943-1953). During this period, serious changes took place in film production, of which Alexander was also a participant. It was he who contributed to the change of monochrome photography to color and the appearance of a sound series in the paintings. The post of director was held until 1953.

After the change of power of the Soviet government, he became the director of the Odessa film studio, where he headed the post for 8 years.

An equally important place in the life of Alexander Valentinovich was occupied by his daughter Alla. She was also a creative person. However, in the early years, the father did not support his daughter's hobbies. But his opinion changed when Alla, carried away by social activities, came into conflict with the authorities. She was already a renowned artist, and her antics were largely publicized and criticized by the Soviet government. During this period, the father supported Alla.

In 1970, she died under mysterious circumstances, which was a blow to the whole family.

Death

Alexander Valentinovich himself died in 1983.

In 2015, the government of Ukraine renamed the street in Kyiv, where the family had lived since the 1960s, into the house named after Alla Gorskaya.
