German rock singer, singer and musician Deris Andy (photos are presented on the page) was born on August 18, 1964 in Karlsruhe. Currently, he is the vocalist of the popular group "Halloween", the author of numerous hits, the owner of the recording studio Mi Sueno, located on the island of Tenerife (Canaries).

Teen and hard rock

Andy became interested in rock music at the age of fourteen after hearing the British band Sweet. The young man was drawn to hard rock, and he decided to learn how to play the guitar.

In 1979, the legendary KISS came to Karlsruhe for a one-day visit, and Andy attended her concert. Enough impressions for a whole year. And in early 1980, Deris Andy organized his own group called "Paranoid". In the process of becoming a sixteen-year-old aspiring musician, he realized that he would not make a good guitarist, and then he switched all his attention to learning vocals.

Drummer was found immediately, he became Ralph Mason. Then Andy Deris met Alfred Koffler, who playedon guitar in the group "Dragon". After listening to Andy once, the Dragon musicians offered him to go on a tour with them, which lasted no less, but a whole year.

Concert activity and its consequences

Concert activity, on the one hand, was useful for Deris, but it ended with expulsion from the university. Andy dropped out. However, he was not too upset and created the Pink Cream 69 group, named after the popular cocktail. The musicians were not bad, and soon "Cream" won the competition organized by the magazine "Iron Hammer".

After such success, the group began to receive offers from record companies. The musicians chose Sony Music, and in 1989 the presentation of the first album took place. Deris Andy became a famous musician as part of Pink Cream 69, although he had long wanted to play with his friend Michael Weikat as part of "Halloween", where he led all the activities of the popular sextet.

Change of priorities

Eventually Deris Andy left the Pink Cream and joined the Weikath band. I must say that Deris's musical level allowed him to immediately take a leading position in "Halloween", he began to write good compositions, made quite professional arrangements and, in general, did all the work that was necessary for the group's activities. Weikath, who could now breathe easy, helped Andy as much as he could.

The band's first album sincevocalist Deris, called "The Lord of the Rings" was the beginning of the next stage in the work of "Halloween". And the second disc, which Andy called "Vow Time", became the most successful in the history of the group.

Solo albums

In "Halloween" Andy Deris became the sole songwriter, but he had many compositions that did not fit the group in terms of format. The material had to go somewhere, and Andy decided to release his solo album with these songs. He consulted with the musicians, and they decided that another disc would only expand the repertoire and enhance the reputation of "Halloween".

In March 1997 the album was released. True, the sound of the singles was very reminiscent of songs from "Pink Cream" when Deris was there, but in general the disc turned out to be quite good and sold well. Two years later, Andy released another solo album.

Private life

Andy Deris is a wonderful family man, he married once and is happy with his chosen one. Wife Lydia brings up a common favorite Ron, who was born in 1993. Andy writes his guitar and vocal works exclusively at home, where everything inspires him, from the front lawn to the attic, gloomy and damp.

In 1994, Deris left Germany with his entire family and moved to one of the Canary Islands, Tenerife. Andy's house bought in the archipelago was converted into a recording company, brought in good equipment and set to work. True, you have to writeonly his works, it is not so easy to get to Tenerife from Europe, so Deris's clientele is still very modest.
