Perhaps the most famous and recognizable member of The Prodigy is Keith Charles Flint. Photos of his bizarre outfits and extravagant hairstyles have become the hallmark of the entire group. She was one of the pioneers and developers of a new style in music at that time - bigbeat.
The Prodigy developed this direction along with The Crystal Method, The Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim, but always took first place in the chat rooms and the hearts of fans.
Kit's biography
Keith Charles Flint was born to Yvonne and Clive Flint in 1969, September 17th. His family did not stand out from the gray mass of the majority. Almost all of the boy's childhood was spent in East London. When he was 6 years old, the family moved to live in Essex County, the city of Springfield. However, he did not have long to stay there. Keith Charles Flint, the future vocalist of The Prodigy, spent his youthful years in Braintree, where he studied at school. By a happy coincidence, he went to the same school as his future bandmate. However, she did not introduce them at all. Due to different age groups, Kit and Liam were trained separately and had no mutual acquaintances.
Fateful meeting
Only towards the end of the 80s, fate brought Liam Howlett and Keith Flint together in one of the rave clubs. Keith attended almost all the parties. Liam already in these years was engaged in music and acted as a DJ. Keith still needed a little time to realize that music would be his calling, but still he immediately liked what Liam played, and he asked to listen to his records.
After what he heard, he met with Howlett again, but with particular zeal began to insist that tracks of his own production sound on stage. As a backup dancer, he proposed his candidacy and Leeroy Thornhill, his old friend. With such frenzied enthusiasm, already in 1990, the world heard the new British band The Prodigy. By the way, Howlett came up with the name of the group, and he did it in honor of his first synthesizer - Moog Prodigy.
Adult but not serious life
Despite a very modest education and little academic success, Keith was one of the first to find a job. He tried to find something that would bring joy to his life, and constantly changed speci alties. He never had a shortage of money. He regularly attended fashion parties and very quickly got involved. Keith did not miss almost a single party. To match the fashionable clubs, he could buy himself a T-shirt for sixty pounds and pants for one hundred and fifty. Around this time, he had a half-brother, Gary, who greatly influenced his worldview andlater life, as Keith himself claimed.
Tired of everyday life, he decides to abandon his design career, and instead get on a light motorcycle and tirelessly ride it around the city. He stopped only if he needed to straighten the belt on his leather jacket or score another “jamb”. It was at this time that he had fun and came off to the fullest, but this was not enough for him, he did not know where to put all his energy.
In the end, as quickly as he got on a motorcycle, he got off it and gave it to his old friend, and at the same time he sold all his things. Leaving himself only the essentials that could fit in a small backpack, he sets off on a long journey through the Middle East. His tour lasted eight months. During this time, Keith managed to visit almost all countries of Europe and North Africa. But, not having achieved the desired result, he returned home and was already seriously interested in rave.
Music career
From the moment the band formed in 1990, Keith Charles Flint was involved only as a dancer, but already in 1996 he showed his musical abilities as a vocalist in the Firestarter single. It was in the video that accompanied the single that Keith Charles Flint, the vocalist, appeared to the public in his new image, which later became part of his life and the hallmark of the group. His second single Breathe followed, where he sang in a duet with Maxim Reality.
His role in the band as a vocalist has grown and developed. Already in 1997 in the album TheFatofthe Land has already featured four songs by him (Fuel My Fire, Firestarter, Serial Thrilla and Breathe). Over the entire creative career of the band, this particular album was called the most successful, largely due to the vocal abilities and charisma that Keith Charles Flint possessed.
The next release, released in 2002, was more influenced by Keith's punk style. Later, Howlett himself disapproved of the release of Baby's Got a Temper as uncharacteristic of their band. Because of these statements, disagreements arose between Keith and Liam, which influenced the next album to be filled with singles. In 2004, the album Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned saw the light, where there was not a single song performed by Flint.
In the album Invaders Must Die, released in 2009, Keith's vocals could be heard again. He participated in the recording of such tracks: RunwiththeWolves, TakeMetotheHospital, Colors and Omen. In 2015, their last album to date, The Day Is My Enemy, was released.
Solo work
Keith Charles Flint tried to experiment with solo projects. He created the bands Clever Brains Fryin' and FLINT. Despite his efforts, only one commercial single by FLINT, AIM 4, was completed. A solo album was supposed to be released, but it was canceled just before the scheduled release date.
True love
The Prodigy vocalist Keith Charles Flint, whose personal life was hidden from the majority, found fame in publicthe most violent and extravagant member of the group. However, after meeting an amazing DJ, Keith's life has changed dramatically.
They met in Tokyo, in one of the clubs where Mayumi played records under the pseudonym Super Megabitch. It was then that he realized who he loves more than music, and what he so lacked in life. During the marriage, he gave up drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Now this is a completely different Keith Charles Flint. The wife fully shares her husband's passion for motorcycles and simply loves dogs.
