In 1983, Dyusha Romanov, a musician from the Aquarium group, invited Alexander to visit the recording of the Radio Africa album. The work was carried out in a mobile recording studio "Melody". Then the bassist of the Aquarium group Mikhail Feinstein-Vasiliev was absent. During the recording of the mentioned album, Alexander played bass for the song "Time of the Moon". In the summer of 1983, during a rock festival inVyborg, the bassist received an offer from Boris Grebenshchikov about the final transition to Aquarium.

Titov is the only musician in the "Aquarium" who participated in the work on the English-language album by Boris Grebenshchikov called Radio Silence.

This record is from 1989. In 1990, Alexander co-founded a studio called Fontanka. On it he was engaged in producing the first album of the Hummingbird group. Alexander was a permanent member of the Pop Mechanics show orchestra by Sergei Kuryokhin.

In 1996, after recording the album "Snow Lion", which took place in London, Alexander remained in the UK for permanent residence. After the musician officially left Aquarium, he helped the team work on the albums Ψ and Zoom Zoom Zoom. These records were released in 1999 and 2005 respectively.

Alexander returned to the group in 2008, after a concert in memory of Sri Chinmoy at the Royal Albert Hall. In addition to creative activities in the "Aquarium", he became a musician and producer of a musical group called Rina Green.
