Biography
Robert Gonsalves was born in 1959 to a gypsy family. Hometown - Toronto, Canada. From early childhood, Rob was passionate about drawing. He went everywhere with a pencil and often made sketches in a small notebook. The artist did not leave his passion at the amateur level - already at the age of 12 he was studying the technique of perspectives. At the same time, he creates his first paintings.
The craving for perfect and balanced forms leads him to the study of architecture. After graduating from college, Gonsalves gets a job as an ordinary architect. Confidence in the future gives a career in a construction company, self-realization - painting. Rob Goncalves also finds inspiration in creating sets for local theaters and murals thatmasterfully created the illusion of reality.
In 1990, the artist takes part in an exhibition of street art. The paintings of Rob Gonsalves are of great interest and much praise. This recognition from the public and art connoisseurs inspires Rob to abandon his career as an architect and devote himself entirely to creativity.
