Short biography

Sergei Kiselev was born in Kyiv in 1958. In the first years of his life, he did not even think that he would become a clergyman. At school, he, like all young men of that time, was fond of playing the guitar and composing songs. His first compositions were far from modern ones. They talked about feelings, the first youthful love. While he was an atheist, Vysotsky was his idol. In the army, he composed the first collection, imitating the manner of this artist.

While working as a paramedic, he met orderly Vladimir Zhernov, his colleague in the ambulance. They worked together in a psychiatric team. The first impression of the Christian beliefs of a colleague was ambiguous. Sergei Kiselev even wanted to break off contact with him, but then he was fascinated by Orthodox teaching. The first book that the future priest studied was the Gospel. After the young man read it, he became convinced of the veracity of Christianity. At the age of 25, he was baptized, and at the age of 32 he received the priesthood and began to serve in the Yagotinsky district, in the village of Sulimovka.

So Sergei Kiselev came to Christianity, whose biography did not become less interesting because he found himself not only in serving God, but also in creativity. At the same time, Sergey is married and has three children. He has enough time for everything.

Why the guitar
