Boris Sobolev is a notorious Russian journalist, TV journalist and TV presenter.
General information
The name of Boris Sobolev has become synonymous with the phrase "sharp plot". His desire to draw out the truth even from where it would seem impossible to do so is highly appreciated by some, unnoticed by others, and hated by others. This person is not afraid to express his opinion, and, taking the opportunity, he does it in front of thousands of people. Boris Sobolev is not only a reporter, but also a screenwriter and, to some extent, a director.
Childhood and early years
Boris Sobolev was born in the capital of Russia - Moscow - on January 1, 1974. Being a native Muscovite, of course, Sobolev knew the best educational institutions in their widest range. But the future journalist already had a clear goal: to enter the Moscow State University and exactly where he wanted to for a long time.
From childhood, Boris dreamed of writing about what revitalizes people, about what can show them the real side of the world. That's just the world has many sides: both bad and good. Firm in his intentions, after the endMoscow school, he enters the Moscow State University at the Faculty of Philosophy. After studying for three years at this faculty, Boris finally gets the opportunity to develop further, and in exactly the direction he wanted. Since 1994, Boris Igorevich Sobolev has been working as a television journalist.
The first step towards a dream
In 1994, after three courses at Moscow State University, a student was offered a job as a journalist for the Author's Television television company. It was the very first experience of the young reporter, and, I must say, quite positive. Gaining courage, having a little practice in communicating with other people, and also learning how to behave freely in front of the camera lens, Sobolev gets a new job. Now Boris Sobolev is a journalist who daily prepares various interesting, in his opinion, stories for the Press Club television company. There, from an ordinary worker, he gradually climbs the career ladder and now becomes the chief reporter and correspondent in the Vremechko program, which was shown on the NTV channel before him, but with the advent of new personnel, they decided to use a different channel - as a result, the program was broadcast on " TV center", not a very popular channel.
Further cooperation
After the Vremechko program, Sobolev was invited for a long collaboration to the NTV channel, where he would later lead a lot of programs. From 1998 to 2001, the special correspondent really settles on the air of this channel: he becomesreporter in such TV programs as "Itogi", "Vremechko", "Today", as well as his famous work "Profession - Reporter".
In 2012, Boris was transferred to another channel, directly addressing the events in the country - "Russia-1". There he becomes a permanent correspondent for the Vesti program. Soon his active work on this channel played an important role in the further development of his career. Now Sobolev is admitted to many of the channel's information programs, and then they completely let him feel like a host in the "Inspector" program. Such successful projects and reports brought the man the opportunity to participate in the prestigious TEFI television award in 2006. Boris Sobolev (VGTRK made him a nominee for winning the award) has now become a respected reporter.
Starting from 2008 and up to 2011, Boris Sobolev became the main host of the Special Correspondent program on the Russia-1 channel. His truthful and in some places harsh reporting made a splash on the screens of state television. It is under this program that many people now know who Boris Sobolev is - a journalist who always finds hot material. The subject of his reports has always been burning and topical: he exposed the dens of drug addicts, alcohol mafia, showed the whole reverse side of the country's corrupt universities, not being afraid of serious connections of people working there.
Scandal reports
One of the most scandalous reports in the field of Russian education can be found onthe right to consider a message about corruption within the walls of the well-known Russian National Research Medical University named after Pirogov. In 2012, on the screens of all televisions in the country, the Vesti program showed a small video filmed on a hidden camera in this educational institution. The shooting took place during the defense of one student's diploma, and this defense took place in rather strange conditions: instead of a direct presentation of his work, the student, through an intermediary, started a conversation about buying his diploma with one of the main professors at the university, Nikolai Kostyukov, who at the time of the shooting was not simply respected throughout the country, but also had 40 years of experience at the university. The report at that time exploded into a real scandal: on the one hand, there were threats emanating from the university, on the other hand, indignant and angry reviews of the students' parents, and of all Russian students planning to enter there after secondary education.
The situation was further aggravated by the exposure of the same university in the student enrollment story, which is now called the “Dead Souls Scam”. Ironically, the university exactly repeated the machinations of the famous hero N. V. Gogol Chichikov: the university’s documentation contained a large number of fake certificates of enrollment of applicants to university faculties, and almost 90% of people probably did not hear about this educational institution. Thus, the university tried to open the way for "its" people, while closing it to honest students.
Interview with Inna Zhirkova
Another explosivethe work of Boris Sobolev is dedicated to the purchased victory of the wife of the famous football player Yuri Zhirkov in the Mrs. Russia-2012 contest. The exposure was compiled without resorting to hidden cameras or other maneuvers: all that was filmed on camera was a charming girl answering questions, and directly the correspondent Sobolev himself, asking her about the competition and asking elementary questions.
As part of the beauty contest "Mrs. Russia-2012", the participants were invited to prove themselves in a variety of areas, from raising children to their creative abilities. Inna Zhirkova in that interview had to answer the simplest questions from just these areas: name the children's writer, give well-known facts from geography, name the authors of musical works whose names were already included in the title … However, the girl could not cope with any of the questions, thus showing that she won this competition not at all for talents, but for her husband's fat wallet.
In a word, Sobolev's report made a splash, and not in the most attractive light showed the "incorruptible" celebrities of the country who were on the jury.
Try yourself as a director
In 2012, Boris Sobolev began to appear less and less in news programs, but literally a year later, his work as a documentary filmmaker appears on the screens. The film by Boris Sobolev "Crowned Species" tells just about such "deserved" victories of Russian beauties, behind which, in fact, there are very bigmoney. The plot of this documentary includes fragments of negotiations with real people - the organizers of the competitions, participants and the jury.
If we talk about Sobolev as a director, then one cannot but consider his book, and then the film based on it, called "Storm will cost a lot." In the work, the author tells about the Caucasian War of 1817-1864. This war has become the longest in Russia, and its entire history is entangled in omissions, unknown facts and intrigues…
Current activities
At the moment, Boris Sobolev remains one of the most respected correspondents, who, not being afraid of anyone's money and connections, continues to bring to light the unpleasant events and situations taking place in our country. Boris Sobolev, whose personal life is his reports, highly appreciated by ordinary people, speaks openly about such things that others are generally afraid to mention.
To this day, he is shooting sharp documentaries, and who knows: maybe this year his next scandalous sensation will be released, telling about what everyone is usually silent about.
