The world was shocked by novels about a boy who suffered all his short life from the attacks of evil relatives in the person of Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon, and then found out that he could blow them up with a single wave of a magic wand. Everyone liked the books of the English writer J. K. Rowling: immature teenagers, important lawyers, and retired old ladies.
It is hardly necessary to tell the true fans of the novel "Harry Potter" how many parts there are in this fantasy epic. Well, for those who have forgotten their passion or are just deciding to plunge into the magical world of Rowling, we inform you that there are seven parts of the Potter series.
The beginning of a fairy tale
The story of "Harry Potter" begins in the relatively distant 1990, when, during a trip from Manchester to London, Joan suddenly realized that she had to write a book about a green-eyed boy with unruly hair and a wizard's robe. It was then that she began writing the book. This is how Harry Potter was born. How many parts there will be in her work, the writer herself did not know; on that significant evening, she managed to “sculpt” only a few pages, which subsequently will be very different from the finaloption.
Seven years after graduation, Joan considered herself a terrible loser: the woman already had a divorce behind her. She even had thoughts of suicide. Nevertheless, she continued to write, and by 1995 she had completed the first volume of Potter. However, he was destined to be published only two years later. Joan was warned that she would not earn much from children's literature… These people did not know that they were talking to the future owner of the title "The richest woman in Britain", whose income was three times the savings of the Queen of England!
First years at Hogwarts
So what is Harry Potter about? Part 1 begins with a meeting between two teachers of the school of wizardry and magic - Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall. They gathered in front of an ordinary Dursley family in order to entrust them with the upbringing of a little wizard who survived Voldemort's spell. Subsequently, the boy learns that he is a wizard, he is supposed to have a magic wand and receive a magical education at Hogwarts. And in the first year of study, the young sorcerer showed noticeable abilities for magic, entering the prestigious Gryffindor faculty, becoming a catcher in Quidditch, and at the same time managing to save the philosopher's stone from the clutches of the resurrecting Voldemort. Then the boy made two friends - Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, who will remain devoted to him to the end. On the stage of farewell to them, "Harry Potter 1" ends.
In 1998, the second part of the magical saga came out, describing Harry's return to Hogwarts and hisclash with the mysterious Heir of Slytherin, one of the founders of the school of magic. The heir (it turned out to be Tom Riddle, the future Voldemort), with the help of a terrible creature - a basilisk - attacked half-blooded wizards, that is, those whose one of the parents was not a magician. But Harry sends the enemy back to hell and successfully saves Ron's sister, Ginny.
The third part of the "Potteriana" was released in 1999, and the period of its writing was the most comfortable for the writer: the success of the sales of the first two books made it possible to forget about financial difficulties. The next year of the protagonist's stay at Hogwarts is painted in disturbing colors: Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban prison, through whose fault Harry's father and mother allegedly died. But things turn out to be more complicated than expected…
Harry Potter and the Triwizard Tournament
Harry's fourth year of study coincides with a significant event for the entire magical world - the Triwizard Tournament. The fourteen-year-old magician could not even think of him until the goblet mysteriously identifies Potter as another fourth participant in the tournament. Not without the influence of one of the adult wizards … One thing is certain: the unknown "assistant" is clearly not Harry's friend, because now he has to go through very difficult tests.
Having learned that the Dark Lord has risen, and barely survived the fight with him, in the fifth book, Potter is faced with the "Order of the Phoenix", once organized by Albus Dumbledore to counteract the main antagonist. It is the members of this circle that come to the aid of Harry and hisfriends when they fall into Voldemort's trap.
Final Showdown
The penultimate part of the Harry Potter epic (how many parts do you already know) reveals the secret of the lord: as a teenager, he learned how to divide his soul into parts and place them in objects (in magical terms, create horcruxes). The process of the division of the soul must be preceded by a crime, especially a vile and treacherous one. But as a reward, the wizard will receive immortality: it will be impossible to kill him without destroying all the horcruxes. This is what the inseparable trinity is doing, left face to face with a terrible enemy. However, good, as usual, wins, and "Harry Potter" (part 7 in particular) is crowned with a happy ending.
Life after fantasy
Having completed work on the fantasy epic, J. K. Rowling turned to books that had a completely different target audience than the "Potterian". She is writing the novel Random Vacancy, as well as the detective story The Call of the Cuckoo. But Rowling did not want to part with her beloved world of magic and wrote a couple of books that, one way or another, relate to the plot of her main work.
And once the writer mentioned that she was going to write about the adult life of her character. So the phrase "Harry Potter: Part 9" someday, you see, will become possible. Hopeful fans are waiting for new surprises from the writer … In the meantime, the question of how many parts the book "Harry Potter" has, we consider it resolved.
