Jason Bradford Priestley is a Canadian-American actor, director and producer. He gained worldwide fame after participating in the cult American television series Beverly Hills, 90210, in which he played the role of Brandon Walsh. Priestley's performance has been critically acclaimed and has won prestigious television awards.

Early years

Jason Priestley was born on August 28, 1969 in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His mother, Sharon Kirk, was an actress, so from childhood the boy was interested in cinema and dreamed of one day seeing himself on the screen. Jason's debut took place at the age of four, when he began acting in commercials.

Jason went to high school in North Vancouver. From an early age, he knew that he would devote his life to an acting career, so after graduating from school he entered the drama art studio.

In 1987, Priestley moved to live in Los Angeles. At first, the aspiring actor played small roles in films and TV shows. The turning point in his career was his participation in the television series Beverly Hills, 90210. The most famous drama was Love and Death on Long Island (1997), in which the actor played the role of teen idol Ronnie Bostock.

On July 15, 2007, Jason Priestley returned to television as one of the lead actors in the comedy-drama series Edge of Life. Priestley also starred in the 10th episode of the 4th season of the television series My Name Is Earl. He played the role of Earl's handsome and successful cousin Blake.

In December 2009, Priestley starred in the mini-series The Day of the Triffids. His partners on the set were talented actors: Dougray Scott, Joely Richardson, Eddie Izzard and Brian Cox.

From 2010 to 2013 Priestley starred in the Canadian comedy series Call Me Fitz. In 2013 ondirector Jason Priestley's debut film Cas & Dylan was released. The main roles in the film were played by Richard Dreyfuss and Tatiana Maslany.

In 2015, Priestley co-starred with Gael Garcia Bernal in Zoom, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.

In May 2016, Priestley began filming the detective television series Private Eyes. He plays the role of the main character Matt Shade. The third season of the popular TV series was released in the summer of 2018.
