In search of information about such a group as the Stagecoach group, one can find conflicting information. The composition of the participants, the names of the creators, even the years of existence differ. All this, of course, can lead to bewilderment. If you do not know that the Stagecoach group exists (or existed) not in the singular.

The older generation of a musical group with this name is familiar from rock music and their albums "Stagecoach Journey", "Space Vikings". Yes, and many young people have probably heard at least one song, while, perhaps, they do not even know who the performer was. “Hippo has no waist…” Remember this one?

The Leningrad rock band began its existence in 1978, when singer and guitarist Fyodor Stolyarov, bass player Oleg Kiselev and singer Gennady Labunsky gathered in a small club that became their rehearsal base and began to play their songs. The team changed its name several times. There were options like "Thoughts and Time" or "Perpetual Motion". The name "Stagecoach" came fromStolyarov and one of his songs.

The road to fame has not been easy. The team performed at city venues, played dances, recorded songs, but many of them never saw the light of day. The albums of the "Stagecoach" group were recorded on magnetic media, and the debut collection was created at home, practically "on the knees". The composition of the group changed several times. In 1981, the musicians took an active part in the creation of a rock club, but permanent cooperation did not work out. They managed to enter the professional stage only in 1983 after signing an agreement with the Magadan Philharmonic. The touring life began. New songs were born, popularity grew. But let us recall that censorship did not doze in those years. The Ministry of Culture was actively working against rock. And this very significantly limited the possibilities for the distribution of music of this style. Despite their popularity, the Stagecoach group could not perform in both capitals. Naturally, the media were not eager to cover events, festivals, concerts that were not officially approved by the government. The team existed until 1988, but nothing remained of the original composition. Back in 1983, Gennady Labunsky left, in 1986 - Fedor Stolyarov. Oleg Kiselev was the last of the founders to leave the group in 1988.

But, as we said at the beginning of the article, the name "Stagecoach" belongs not only to the team from the former Leningrad. In the late nineties, music fans first heard the performances of the brothers Sergei and Alexei Sayapin- young people from the Voronezh region. This group "Stagecoach" makes all the songs close to folklore, only in a modern arrangement. They create a sense of celebration and fun, with a bit of humor and irony. That is why all the compositions recorded on audio cassettes quickly spread throughout the country and became loved by the people.

In 2001, the guys' first professional album was released. At the moment, the stagecoach group from Borisoglebsk does not stand still, brings creative ideas to life, creates new projects, and is also sometimes ready to please its fans with musical accompaniment for various celebrations.
