Trans-Siberian Express

Urazbaev's first independent work was the picture, which is a continuation of Sh. Aimanov's last film about Chekist Chadyarov. The script for the film "Trans-Siberian Express" was written by A. Adabashyan and N. Mikhalkov, with the participation of A. Konchalovsky.

The film depicted the real events of 1927, when the KGB managed to prevent the murder of Japanese businessman Saito. The businessman followed the Trans-Siberian express to the capital with the intention to start negotiations on trade with the USSR, and the provocation was planned by foreign intelligence.

The picture is also notable for the fact that Natalya Arinbasarova played one of the supporting roles in it, who at that time was still officially married to Nikolai Dvigubsky, from whom she gave birth to a daughter, Ekaterina.

In 1978, the film "Trans-Siberian Express" received a special jury prize at the 11th All-Union Film Festival in Yerevan.

In 1979, Urazbayev Eldor Magomatovich quit the Kazakhfilm studio and moved to the TsKDYuF im. M. Gorky. His first works after moving to the capital were the paintings "Frock coat for a varmint" and "Inspector of traffic police" with Oleg Yefremov.

Although the director and actress had known each other since filming the Trans-Siberian Express, they only got married in 1982. By this time, Natalia had divorced Nikolai Dvigubsky, who had gone to live in France.

Natalya herself, after the death of her third husband, noted that he helped herin creativity, and she respectfully treated his children from his first marriage and even considered his grandchildren to be her own.

Last years of life

In 1995, the director was elected a member of the board of the Gorky film studio, and in 1998 he was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

From the beginning of the 2000s, Urazbaev tried his hand at creating serials, as he had experience in such work, acquired back in the Soviet period, when this type of cinematography was new. These include the projects "Women's Logic", "We alth" with the participation of S. Nikonenko, S. Batalov and O. Tabakov, "Guys from our city", "Varenka", "Master of the Empire" and others.

After a divorce from Natalia Arinbasarova, initiated by an actress, Eldor Urazbaev remarried and left for the United States. There he lived and was treated for a serious illness in Denver. The director died in 2012 at the age of 71.
