The enumeration of Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Gordeev's awards will take up a printed sheet, and the list of parties performed by him and staged ballet miniatures and performances will take three more. World ballet star, founder and director of the Russian Ballet Theatre, teacher and choreographer, he achieved all the prizes, titles, awards and positions himself, with his work and talent.
Young and now
In the ballet Vyacheslav Gordeev took place completely. A man of great vitality, he still remains a sought-after active member of society. In his own words, the most terrible state for him is to “survive.” We must immediately make a reservation that Vyacheslav Gordeev looks like an elegant, fit, energetic handsome man, with whom the verb "survive" is absolutely incompatible.
Childhood of an ordinary Moscow boy
Vyacheslav Mikhailovich was born on August 3, 1948. He is a native Muscovite. The parents of the future world ballet star defended their Motherland in the war of 1941-1945. Father MichaelVasilievich was wounded, and mother Lyubov Nikolaevna, a very gifted woman who plays several musical instruments beautifully, met the message of Germany's surrender in Berlin. After the war, the parents worked in the design bureau, in which the Buranas were assembled. Vyacheslav Gordeev grew up as a hyperactive boy and went in for all available sports (football, volleyball, boxing, later tennis and martial arts).
First shock
But at the age of ten he saw on TV a broadcast of the ballet "Romeo and Juliet" with the legendary G. Ulanova in the title role. The performance itself, its broadcast on TV, was an event of national importance. It determined the fate of the impressionable boy. Slava Gordeev began to study in an amateur ballet studio at the Red October club. But then the mother did not think in terms of the “soloist of the Bolshoi Theater” and decided to connect the future of her child with a more concrete and masculine profession.
An accident that determined the rest of my life
Thanks to the efforts of the mother, the boy is admitted to the Suvorov Military School, which was very difficult to get into. The documents are collected, the child is cut, and Vyacheslav Gordeev and his mother are going to register at the most prestigious educational institution.
And then fate intervenes a second time. On the fence, they see an announcement about recruiting talented children from 12 years old to the choreographic school. The mother unexpectedly agrees to her son's requests to come in and try, despite the huge queue (for three places - 600 people). Vyacheslav Gordeevaaccept immediately, and the documents in the folder came in handy. Actually, he achieved amazing success compared to other students, the last years of study was considered the best and most gifted pupil. Gordeev entered the school in 1960, graduated in 1968. He studied in the class of the talented teacher Pyotr Pestov.
Golden Boy
While still a student at the college, V. M. Gordeev traveled abroad. In Paris and London, he danced the pas de deux (one of the main ballet forms) from the ballet Flames of Paris. The success was stunning. The "Golden Boy" - the nickname that Gordeev received abroad - was attached to him not only because of the golden costume: the Western audience appreciated the young dancer.
A dream come true
After graduating from college, an already recognized graduate could choose which theater to connect his fate with. He was insistently, right up to a conversation with the then Minister of Culture E. A. Furtseva, invited to the newly created Young Ballet (he was conceived as the face of Soviet ballet presented to the West). Theatre. Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko also offered the young artist the leading parts and a salary of more than 200 rubles. The longed-for dream of a young dancer - the Bolshoi Theater - also took him to her troupe, but only to the corps de ballet with a salary of 98 rubles. He enthusiastically accepts the latter option. A little later, Gordeev became a soloist in the main theater of the country and served there until 1989. Rehearsed roles in BT Gordeev under the direction of Alexei Varlamov.
Talented and lucky
In 1971Gordeev became a laureate of the All-Union Ballet Competition, and in 1973 he received a gold medal and the first prize of the Moscow International Competition, at which Nadezhda Pavlova became the owner of the Grand Prix. This competition is considered to be the birthplace of the famous duet - Nadezhda Pavlova and Vyacheslav Gordeev. By this time, the young soloist of the Bolshoi Theater was already a recognized star of the Soviet ballet, known abroad and treated kindly by the government. Although 5 times he became restricted to travel abroad, either the authorities or the conduct always intervened, and Vyacheslav Mikhailovich caught up with his troupe in the capitals of the world.
Still hyperactive
Vyacheslav Gordeev, whose personal life by that time was overgrown with legends, denied nothing and never made excuses. He was credited with connections with dozens of wives of billionaires and even presidents, and he was banned from traveling abroad twice because of the love of foreign women for him. I must say that Gordeev had amazing energy and efficiency. And by virtue of these natural data, he was enough for both love and work. He also tells his students that if they have enough strength for everything, well, not enough, you need to make a choice.
First marriage
Nadezhda Pavlova and Vyacheslav Gordeev became a famous Soviet couple who represented the style of the Bolshoi Theater of the 70s. In 1975, the "golden boy" and "wonder girl" got married, and in 1986 they divorced.
They were in plain sight and too successful not to arouse the envy of many members of the Bolshoi Theater troupe. MyselfVyacheslav Mikhailovich believes that if a couple dances together, then it is better for them to have separate families: it is hard to be around all the time, it is necessary to find rest in the family from work, in work - from the family. They say that their marriage was created by the KGB and was initially untenable.
Second marriage and creation of own theater
Gordeev's second marriage also broke up, although it lasted more than 20 years. The wife was Maya Saidova (Rudenko), two children were born in the marriage. Gordeev Vyacheslav Mikhailovich is a happy person. Everything he undertakes, he succeeds. He received the title of People's Artist of the USSR in 1984 at the age of 36. The theater "Russian Ballet", which he created on the basis of the ensemble "Classical Ballet", is recognized both here and abroad, and in 2005 Gordeev opens a school-studio of modern classical dance at the theater, which is very popular.
Deserved titles and awards
Gordeev received awards as a dancer, and as a director, and as a choreographer. In 1983 he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, and in 1987 from the choreography department of GITIS, where from 1993 to 1998 he taught a course of choreographers-teachers.
In 1992 he was awarded the title of "Best Choreographer of the Year", awarded by the Association of Western European Impresario. He was a member of the Moscow City Duma (2007-2012). In addition, Vyacheslav Mikhailovich is a professor at the Russian Academy of Slavic Culture. All details about the awards and titles of the great dancer are widely available.
Third marriage
After60 years old Vyacheslav Gordeev, whose personal life has changed again, married for the third time. In this marriage, two sons were born and are growing up. Needless to say, he is delighted with his current wife, the wonderful pianist Oksana (she graduated with honors from the Moscow Conservatory). The last wife of Vyacheslav Gordeev is 26 years younger than her husband. Sons Nikita and Sasha took after their father - even he considers them hyperactive.
Good Russian man
The circle of hobbies of Vyacheslav Mikhailovich also includes architecture, which Gordeev V. M. is quite successfully engaged in. He is a strong and lucky man. In addition, in all his interviews, he did not speak badly about anyone and maintained relations even with Nureyev and Baryshnikov.
Interestingly, he does not complain about some kind of wild persecution of the KGB and oppression under the Soviet regime. And what especially causes respect for this person is his civic position. Gordeev V. M. is a patriot in the best sense of the word.
Patriot and love of life
He loves his Motherland and loves the Bolshoi Theatre, despite the grievances inflicted by this scandalous institution: contracts with him were terminated twice for no apparent reason. Maybe because life spoiled him, Vyacheslav Mikhailovich, judging by his interview, is a great optimist and love of life.
Vyacheslav Gordeev, for whom ballet was the meaning of his whole life, is devoted to him even now. Through his efforts, the Russian Ballet, carrying out an educational mission, has a highly professional troupe numbering more than 100man, a wonderful theater building in Kuzminki and great reviews.
