After graduating from the Moscow Art Theater School, he works at the Russian Academic Youth Theater.
It is known that Denis Balandin is also fond of literature, music and painting, performs with his own musical and reading programs. The actor is married, is the father of two children - a son and a daughter.

Denis Balandin took part in the production of the play by contemporary British playwright Tom Stoppard "Coast of Utopia", playing two characters in the play - the Italian servant Rocco (2nd part "Shipwreck") and the son of Alexander Herzen (3rd part " The rescue"). Premiered on October 6, 2007.
The play takes place in 1833-1848. The characters are real personalities: Turgenev, Bakunin, Ogarev, Stankevich and others.
Another role of Balandin in the theater - Cosimo Medici in the production of Alfred de Musset's play "Lorenzaccio". In order for the premiere of this performance to take place, the Russian Youth Theater had to go against all standards. There were so many characters in the play that it would be impossible to place them on the stage at the same time. As a result, the auditorium became the scene of action, and the audience, on the contrary, had to be placed on the stage.
Working in movies
In the year of graduation from the Moscow Art Theater School DenisBalandin played in the Russian TV series Desired, in which he played the role of Hera.
The story starts from the moment when an elderly woman Maria Grigoryeva receives a mysterious letter from an unknown sender. The envelope contained a ring and a strange message, signed by the nickname that Mary called all her men. Trying to figure out who sent her this letter, the woman plunges into memories.
Denis Balandin also played an episodic role in the popular Russian musical comedy Stilyagi, which tells about the life of Moscow youth in the 50s of the previous century. The main characters are trying to defend their right to be themselves.
