The only thing that had to be modernized was the internal premises: to expand the passages (including the corridors through which people with disabilities could move), to refusefrom seafarers' sleeping quarters. This was a forced measure, otherwise visitors would simply not have enough free space.

Component parts

Which of us represents what a submarine consists of? And if you still manage to draw a picture in your head, then guessing how the compartments are actually arranged is unlikely. Museum-submarine B-396 consists of real hulls. This model includes seven compartments, each of which can be viewed. What are they?

1. Torpedo part. Accommodates combat stock (mines, torpedoes), radio room, navigation devices. Visitors will appreciate the survival wetsuit, get acquainted with the ship's bell.
2. The living compartment consists of decks where the commander's cabin is located, a demonstration room in which lectures are held.
3. At the central post are location, acoustic and navigation cabins. Almost every detail is in working order. A special ladder leads to the bridge and upper deck.
4. Battery. Previously, it partially housed the residential part. Now expositions and materials telling the history of the development of various types of submarines have been moved here.
5. Diesel body is equipped with a control panel, several related systems.
6. There is an electric motor in the engine compartment. To appreciate it with your own eyes, a special cutout is provided.
7. The final part, the aft compartment includes individual devices, an emergency hatch, the mechanisms of the entire ship system. Andof course, part of the remaining crew berths.

"Scat" is characterized by high speed. Proportional doors are designed for landing troops. Equipment can be inspected visually, passage inside is prohibited.

The embankment of the museum complex will lead you to an ekranoplan that combines the features of a ship and an airplane. "Eaglet" is able to rise above any surface. Its purpose is to land troops in hard-to-reach places. Given the impossibilitylook inside, visitors will be presented with a visual simulator, behind which they will feel like the commander of this unusual vessel.

Another interesting exposition that cannot be called a museum piece. The educational center offers modeling of the most important historical events. With the help of 3D graphics and computer special effects, you will feel like a spectator. “Farvater” will recreate the picture of underwater battles, leaving the impression as if you were a participant in them.
