Olivia Dunham is a fictional character from the fantasy television series Fringe. Filming of the film lasted from 2008 to 2013. The series consists of 5 seasons, each of which includes episodes lasting 50 minutes. Olivia is the main character in the film Fringe. Her role was played by actress Anna Torv.

Childhood and youth of the heroine

Olivia Dunham is an FBI special agent who investigates strange and unusual cases. Olivia's childhood was very difficult, she lived with her mother and stepfather. W alter began to conduct experiments to find out exactly what emotions make Olivia Dunham move. In addition to the main character, other children also participated in these experiments. Upon learning that his stepfather was beating Olivia, W alter threatened him with prison. After some time, the experiments with Olivia's mind stopped. However, after that, she forgot everything that happened in these studies. The heroine did not remember W alter and others who participated in these experiments. One day, when her stepfather beat the heroine's mother again, Olivia shot him several times and told him not to return to their house again. He left, but once a year he sent Olivia postcards so that she would never forget him. The heroine's mother died when the girl was 14 years old.

Olivia Dunham, with the help of a scientist and his son, was able to solve this case and called them both to her team. In the first season, the heroine also learns about W alter's research that he did for her as a child, and about his unusual abilities. During the next investigation, Olivia was required to find a scientist named William Bell, with whom W alter had once worked. In order to do this, the heroine went to a parallel reality.

Second and third season of the series

After meeting William Bell, Olivia learns that Peter is not W alter's real son. W alter stole it from another reality. The heroine asks to tell Peter everything. Olivia Dunham thinks he should know the truth, but W alter disagrees. Peter accidentally learns all about his past and becomes very offended by W alter. He escapes with W alter's doppelgänger, W alternate, to another universe. The doppelgänger tries to convince Peter to activate a machine that will destroy everything around him, including other universes. W alter and Olivia come to Peter's aid and rescue him. However, during the transition back to her reality, Olivia's doppelganger named Bolivia is sent to the heroine's world instead of her, and the girl herself is captured by W alternate.

In the third season of the series, W alternate tries to understand why Olivia moves so easily in space. He mixes some heroinea drug that makes a girl think she is Bolivia. She participates in W alternate's experiments and lives the life of her doppelgänger. However, gradually, the girl begins to remember who she is, and returns to her reality. The relationship between Olivia and Peter becomes very close and they start dating. However, at the end of the season, Peter disappears from Olivia's life to save the universe.

Last seasons of the series

In the final seasons of Fringe, Olivia Dunham's life changes once again as Peter drifts off into another reality. The heroine does not know and does not remember him. She still works for the FBI with W alter, but Peter is not with them. When he reappears in their universe, the heroine does not remember him, but still instinctively trusts him. Ultimately, Olivia and Peter end up together and have a baby girl named Henrietta.
