In 1986, Hyun Won's son Jay Park takes over as manager, overseeing where, how and whether Crafter guitars are made properly, while his father takes care of other important matters. It was then that the international line of the instrument was called "Crafter". According to the son, this name is quite memorable and is easier to pronounce. Now this series includes acoustic, electric and semi-acoustic models.

This is due to the fact that rosewood conveys the most refined sound. It is known that the sides of the guitars are made from the same material as the lower soundboard, the instruments of this company are no exception.
