The winner of the second season of "Master Chef" Elizaveta Glinskaya proved by personal example that even the worst tragedy can be experienced and start living again if you believe in yourself and your strength. A fragile girl with sad eyes has an incredible will and determination. She was able to dramatically change her life and get as close as possible to the realization of her dream.

About life before the Master Chef project

Elizaveta Glinskaya was born in 1983 in Zaporozhye (Ukraine), and when the girl was 12 years old, she and her parents moved to Alupka (Crimea). As a child, the future winner of the cooking show dreamed of a career and entering the theater.

In 2006, Elizaveta graduated from the Crimean Federal University. V. I. Vernadsky (formerly KSU), where she studied vocals.

In Alupka, the girl worked as a teacher at a music school, got married, and after work pleased her husband with small experiments in the kitchen. And laterthe long-awaited pregnancy has come.

It would seem that everything goes on as usual, but then a tragedy happens in the girl's life: her newborn child dies. It was a real blow, because she and her husband so dreamed of children. The child of Elizabeth Glinskaya suffocated during childbirth as a result of entanglement of the umbilical cord. Despite the fact that the spouse supported the heartbroken girl, over time they began to move away from each other. She fell into a severe depression, left her job, divorced her husband and shaved her head baldly.

Cooking helped Elizabeth get out of a difficult life period. She became interested in watching the program "Eat at Home" with Yulia Vysotskaya. The girl claims that it was not the recipes according to which the famous presenter cooked, but how she did it that attracted her attention. Elizabeth gradually began to infect Julia's optimism, lightness and love of life. She recorded episodes of the program on cassettes and included them as background. And later I started cooking on my own.

To forget about the terrible tragedy, Elizabeth moved to Kyiv, where she got a job as an administrator in one of the restaurants in the capital. Then she began to spy on chefs and tried to reproduce culinary masterpieces at home.

In Kyiv, Elizaveta Glinskaya also began to study the art of make-up at Alla Churi's school-studio of make-up and make-up, where she received the speci alty of a make-up artist.

Before the start of the culinary project, the girl held the position of art director at Shiseido. Thanks to the "Master Chef" in the biography of Elizabeth Glinskaya, a new fascinating story has appeared.

While watching the first season of the Ukrainian culinary show, Elizaveta began to notice that while cooking the project participants, she involuntarily thinks about how she would make this or that dish, what zest she would add or what she would completely change. Then she decided to go the other way and began to overwhelm the STB channel with calls asking her to personally bring her data. Having been refused several times, Elizabeth did not stop. As a result, the employees of the TV channel surrendered under the pressure of the girl and allowed her to come to fill out the questionnaire. And then a new round of the biography of Elizabeth Glinskaya began.

In 2012, Glinskaya, having impressed Hector Jimenez Bravo with the rich taste of chocolate fondant and Zhanna Badoeva with her fighting character, became one of the participants in the Master Chef-2 project. The girl really wanted to believe in herself again, become happy and start her life from scratch. And the first step towards the realization of her dream was that she entered the top twenty of the best amateur chefs in Ukraine.

For four months, Elizabeth took risks and experimented. Despite inner despair and excitement, she worked hard, gradually approaching her goal. Non-conflicting by nature, Elizabeth was not easy on the show, where scandals, quarrels and showdowns raged. It turned out that to survive on the set, the ability to cook well is not enough. You still need to somehow get along with other participants andavoid negativity from rivals. It was all very distracting from the culinary arts. In addition, it was necessary to constantly monitor the time allotted for cooking, and this was difficult, because at home there are no such restrictions.

And, recalling the project in her interviews, the girl says that the most difficult thing for her was to kill a frog, and the most disgusting thing was to eat a fried zoophobus.

But as a result, Elizabeth kept her promise to herself and the judges at the casting and proved that she is a strong-willed and purposeful person who can really do anything. She put all her talent, skill and passion into her dishes. And the main judges of the project liked them.

And in December 2012, the judges of the project announced Elizaveta Glinska as the winner of "Master Chef-2". The audience remembered her as a fragile girl with huge sad eyes, who always behaved with dignity and gained self-confidence from broadcast to broadcast.

She managed to achieve her goal - to dramatically change her life for the better. And now you can see in the photo of Elizabeth Glinskaya how the smile does not leave her face.

About studying at Le Cordon Bleu

Winning the culinary show, Elizaveta Glinskaya received a cash prize of 500,000 hryvnia (about 1 million rubles) and the opportunity to study at one of the best culinary academies in the world in Paris.

Elizaveta Glinskaya remembers with pleasure the time spent at the French school. The girl claims that she has never run to class with such joy, even given the strict rules at school:no make-up, no long nails, carefully styled hair and perfectly ironed clothes. For the slightest non-compliance with the requirements, the student could be removed from classes.

In Le Cordon Bleu, Elizabeth made many discoveries for herself. For example, she realized that she could do a great job with yeast dough, which she had previously preferred not to work with. Or doing, as it seemed to her, the impossible: combining baked meringue, which must be fired with a gas burner, with cold sorbet.

At the French Academy, the girl graduated from a basic culinary course and a full course in pastry art. There she entered the top five students.

Besides learning to cook at the academy, Elizaveta also began learning French.

France was also remembered by her because in Le Cordon Bleu, Elizabeth had an affair with one of the school's students. It was, though short-lived, but a beautiful story, which the girl recalls with a smile. The name of the young man was Alexi, and at that time he was 21 years old. The French personal life of Elizaveta Glinskaya began in Paris, and ended there.

About culinary passions

Elizaveta Glinskaya claims that she does not have a favorite dish and dessert, but there are combinations of flavors that she likes. She considers herself a sweet tooth and this explains her success in the confectionery art. Indeed, desserts prepared according to the author's recipes of Elizaveta Glinskaya turn out to be unusually tasty, light and tender. She likes to try and discovernew flavors.

Elizaveta loves chicken skin very much, although she knows that it is harmful to the body. And sometimes he allows himself to eat a double cheeseburger.

The most unforgettable emotions from food, according to Elizabeth, she got on a visit abroad, where she tried beautiful rolls of thinly sliced snake meat. The girl initially did not know what the main ingredient of this dish was. And when I asked, I experienced conflicting emotions. On the one hand, the realization that she had eaten a snake was unpleasant, on the other hand, it was very tasty.

The Queen of Desserts considers borscht seasoned with bacon and garlic with herbs to be her signature dish, and calls soufflé the most difficult.

About the holiday

Elizaveta loves to travel very much: she has traveled all over Europe, visited Israel, Egypt, Turkey, India and many other countries. Trips to the sea or ocean have a relaxing effect on a girl, although this does not happen so often.

Elizaveta discovers new tastes on every journey. For example, a girl brought memories of delicious avocado and hummus from Israel, and in Japan she discovered matcha tea, which she now actively uses in her desserts.

About personal life

In 2016, talk began about the pregnancy of the winner of the second season of "Master Chef". However, this turned out to be only rumors, which were caused by the fact that Elizabeth gained 8 kg. The girl returned to sports and control in the diet. Herthe goal was to regain the previous 50 kg of weight.

Elizaveta Glinskaya prefers to talk about her personal life, limiting herself to saying that there are ups and downs.

Today the girl is free and still dreams of having a baby.

Elizabeth was inspired to write her own book by the realization that the number of publications with a detailed description of the technology for making desserts is very limited. And the nuances in the confectionery art play a significant role. Sometimes the result depends on which direction you need to mix the mass for the future dessert.

She wanted to publish a book where she would collect and sort through the entire technology of the process, accompanied by detailed step-by-step photographs. And the result is exactly the dish that meets all the initial expectations.

In 2016, the girl released her first book about confectionery art and called it "From simple to complex with Elizaveta Glinskaya". It contains recipes for French desserts, their cooking techniques and all the experience and knowledge that was gained during the training at Le Cordon Bleu.

Elizaveta Glinskaya's book contains more than 130 desserts and 250 recipes.

Work on the implementation of this project lasted 6 months. It was a time of inspiration and despair. However, the girl did not give up.

Thanks to photographer Dmitry Khoroshaev bright and colorful illustrations were created. The photographs taken by him emphasize the beautyeach dessert and have their own style.

The work on the cover was also not easy. Elizabeth experimented on it for a long time together with photographer Yana Klochkova.

Sister Tatyana first watched the process from the outside, and later actively joined the work on the book. She analyzed the assortment of bookstores, studied demand, searched for a publishing house, and took over the preparation of a business plan. Tatyana supported her sister and they did not succumb to persuasion to leave this venture. The sisters listened only to themselves and their inner voice.

As a result of joint efforts, the book "From Simple to Complex with Elizaveta Glinskaya" was released in 3000 copies. It has become popular and in demand. And several of its copies even flew to Japan, Europe, America and Australia, which confirms the demand for the publication not only in Ukraine, but also abroad.

In 2018, the second book was born under the title "Easier than simple with Elizaveta Glinskaya". On 250 pages, the winner of "Master Chef-2" collected all her family recipes, without changing their appearance drastically, but applying the knowledge and experience gained, improved the technology of their preparation, thereby creating an incredible taste.

The book is illustrated with vivid photographs of confectionery masterpieces and contains a detailed step-by-step description of the stages of their preparation. There are no obscure and hard-to-find ingredients in the recipes. All products can be found in any kitchen. In her edition, Elizabeth calls for the abandonment of scales, but at the same time focuses onthe fact that adherence to the correct grammage of ingredients is the key to success in preparing beautiful and tasty desserts.

The book contains more than 120 recipes and 50 desserts, detailed descriptions of cooking technology with step-by-step illustrations, tables of measures and weights. It is great for beginners.

Author's masterpiece

Elizaveta Glinskaya has many of her own recipes for delicious desserts. One of them is called "Paradise Clouds".

This is an incredibly light and delicate taste and a very beautiful dessert.

A layer of the thinnest lemon biscuit and marshmallow-air apple puree are connected by a jelly layer of hibiscus. And the products for its preparation can be found in every kitchen.

Dessert starts with a lemon biscuit. First of all, you need to beat 2 eggs with 60 g of sugar until a thick and homogeneous mass is obtained. In the process of how it will increase, add 60 g of butter and the zest of half a lemon to the mixture. After that, the mass is carefully mixed with 60 g of sifted flour. The resulting batter must be poured onto parchment and baked in the oven for 7-8 minutes. It is necessary to adhere to a temperature of 190 degrees.

While the dough is baking, you need to prepare applesauce. To do this, 15 grams of gelatin is poured with water and left for a while so that it swells. At this time, apples in the amount of 5 pieces, you need to bake in the oven, and then rub through a sieve in mashed potatoes. Next, add 30 grams of sugar to it and wait untilthe mass will become lighter in color. After that, 2 pcs are added to it. protein, and the resulting mixture must be whipped until fluffy. Next, warmed gelatin and a few tablespoons of hibiscus must be introduced into the mass to obtain color. At the end of this stage, the resulting applesauce must be poured onto a biscuit and put the future dish in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

The final step in creating a dessert is the preparation of hibiscus jelly. To do this, a few tablespoons of water are added to 15 grams of gelatin. While it swells, you need to prepare a small saucepan. Pour water into it, add 15 g of hibiscus with sugar and bring to a boil on the stove. Next, remove the container from the heat and add the already swollen gelatin to it. At the end, the jelly mixture must be poured on top of the applesauce and sent to the refrigerator until the jelly is completely solidified.

The finished dessert must be cut into portions with a knife periodically dipped in hot water.

Sometimes the terrible things that happen in life lead to stunning changes for the better. It happened to the winner of the second season of "Master Chef". Having a terrible tragedy in her biography, Elizaveta Glinskaya was able to overcome a protracted depression, realize herself in her favorite business and become happy again.

Elizaveta is an introvert by personality type and she does not consider working in restaurants comfortable for herself. But despite this, her successes are noticeable and significant. Today she is one of the best confectioners in Ukraine.

Elizaveta has released her first book, is an expert of the Ukrainian channel STB in the program "Everything will be fine".

She owns the GL confectionery school, where she also realized herself as a teacher.

Thanks to her and Alexander Brazhevsky, Ukraine took 8th place in the Mondial des arts sucres championship dedicated to the art of confectionery.

Elizaveta travels a lot and still dreams of opening her own candy store.

Interesting facts

Elizaveta Glinskaya is a make-up artist by education, and in almost all editions, the makeup on her face is made by her own hands.

The winner of "Master Chef" has three tattoos on her body:

  • snakes symbolizing wisdom;
  • phrase on the foot "Fate helps the brave".

The winner of "Master Chef 2" refused to work with yeast dough for a long time. This was due to the fact that when Elizaveta baked her first Easter cake, she killed all the yeast by putting the dough on a warm floor.

At the beginning of participation in the project "Master Chef", Elizabeth developed a sympathy for her colleague on the set, Mikhail Sosnovsky. But certain situations during the filming influenced the fact that interest in him disappeared. Later, watching television episodes of the TV show, Elizabeth is convinced of the correctness of what her heart told her.
