Olga Yakovleva was born in 1941 in the city of Tambov. Her family had nothing to do with the world of art: her father ran a factory, and her mother raised children in a kindergarten.
Olga has been artistic since childhood. Mom noticed her daughter's abilities and took her to study at a theater studio. Then the family began to move frequently in connection with the new appointments of the father in the service. By the time she graduated from school, Yakovleva was with her parents in Alma-Ata.
In this city, the leadership of the local Youth Theater liked the girl so much that she was invited to the theater troupe. However, Yakovleva wanted more, so she plucked up courage and wentenroll in a theater university in Moscow.
