The performance "Tureen, or Boiling Passions" is a private performance of the French play of the same name by Robber Lamouret directed by Gennady Trostyanetsky. This is a sitcom with organic elements of vaudeville and even operetta.

Who is the author?

Robber Lamour (Lamure) is an extremely popular pop singer in France in the 50s of the last century. In addition to music, he was engaged in directing, starred in films, appeared on the theater stage, wrote plays and scripts.

Comedy is a genre to which Robber Lamouret devoted his entire life. He started his career in restaurants and clubs, performing sketches, humorous sketches, playful songs and improvisations, which are now called stand-up comedy.

The first plays for street, in the literal sense of the word - tabloid productions, Robber began to write during the war years. Of course, they were comedies.

As a theater actor, Robber triedhimself in the 50s, already being a famous and beloved chansonnier and a sought-after screenwriter. Ten years later, in the 60s, Lamouret released his first film, in which he tried on the role of the director - "Charming". Following the debut, the second film “Here Comes the Brunette!” Was released. The scripts were worked out by Robber himself, and they were based on his plays.

Lamouret went to “retirement” in 1991, defiantly saying goodbye to the cinema, but “did not bow out” to the theater and continued to write scripts, plays and directing performances almost until his death.

Robber Lamouret died in 2011, in Boulogne-Billancourt, one of the suburbs of Paris, to the theatrical stage of which he gave most of his life.

About what?

“Tureen” is a performance with a simple plot, filled with intrigue, unexpected twists and situations that make the audience laugh out loud. The action on the stage is very dynamic, capturing the hall immediately, not letting you get bored for a minute.

The essence of the play is that somewhere in the vineyards in Bordeaux lives a very rich elderly lady. The maid behind her eyes calls her "Tureen", and the performance is built around the desire of the lady's greedy nephew to take possession of her inheritance, but not only … The nephew vaguely guesses that someone else is stretching his hands to the vineyard, but does not suspect that his competitors are the aunt's maid and her fiancé, planning not only to seize the inheritance, but also "the perfect murder of Tureen".

Despite the detective plot, this is a comedy, incredibly funnyand kind. For two acts, the elderly lady successfully resists intrigues, responds with her own intrigues and honorably keeps the vineyard intact.

In addition to the sparkling dialogues, skillfully underlined by facial expressions, plasticity and body language, there is a lot of comedy in action. This adds emotional and expanded emotions to the play "Tureen, or Boiling Passions" in the audience's reviews, instead of the dry replies "I liked it …", which many comedy enterprises suffer from.

Who is the director?

Gennady Rafailovich Trostyanetsky is a directing guru, recognized by both the audience and colleagues. Among his regalia are the State Prize of the RSFSR named after K. S. Stanislavsky, the national theater award of Latvia "The Night of Actors", three "Golden spotlights" and a medal for contribution to the development of national culture.

The performance of the artists is extremely dynamic, nothing superfluous happens on the stage, literally every movement is not accidental, but is designed to enhance the effect of the spoken remark or to illustrate the emotions of the characters.

There is no protractedness inherent in many dramatic performances, dull pauses during which the audience forgets what it is all about, as well as the artists themselves. On the contrary, everything is extremely fast, clearly, verified and very professional, which is not surprising, given the cast and experience of the director.

It can be unequivocally stated that there are no elements of operetta, vaudeville, tragifarce and other elements in the performance that divert the audience's attention to the side. Everything is quite simple and concise, there is nothing superfluous to distract the artists from the game.
