Storyline

Dallas Buyers Club tells the true story of Texas resident Ron Woodroof. The plot was based on an article in 1992, which attracted wide public attention. The man earns a living by working as an electrician, and his main hobby is rodeo. He is not particularly selective in sexual relations, the consequences of which lead him to be examined in the hospital. It turns out that Ron is sickimmunodeficiency virus, and he had only a few weeks left. In 1985, active research into such diseases is just beginning in America, and not everyone can get medicines. From the test drug, which is secretly supplied to the hero from the hospital, he feels even more unwell, so he takes a desperate step. He travels to Mexico, where drugs banned in the United States are distributed underground. So, he begins to actively transport them across the border and organizes his own, so-called Dallas buyers club, in which patients can get all the necessary drugs for a membership fee. He meets a dying transvestite named Rayon, who becomes his indispensable assistant and close friend. The film does not affect the entire period of time that was allotted to Woodroof, however, at the end, viewers will learn that he has struggled with the disease for seven long years since the diagnosis.

Creators

The film "Dallas Buyers Club" was transferred to the screens by director Jean-Marc Vallee. He also independently edited his picture, for which he was even awarded an Oscar nomination. As is usually the case, Valle began his career with low-budget films, serials and short films. Ten years have passed since the start of his filmography, and he finally achieved success after the release of C. R. A. Z. Y Brothers. This was followed by Young Victoria with Emily Blunt, who won an Oscar for best costumes, and the touching drama Café de Flore. But his most famous and successful painting to dateis the Dallas Buyers Club.

Preparing for filming

Due to lack of budget, the shooting was carried out in a very short time, especially for pictures of this kind. He could be seen in the foreground in the melodramas "Wedding Planner", "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" and "Ghosts of former girlfriends". But with age, producers and directors of serious films began to pay attention to the changed actor, resulting in such films as "The Lincoln Lawyer", "Mud" and "Dallas Club".buyers." McConaughey has now achieved fabulous success, moving to a completely new level for himself. Not all actors can boast such versatility as Jared Leto has. "Dallas Buyers Club" became one of the most successful films featuring a famous musician. He once again proved to the world that he is endowed with incredible talent. In addition, the embodiment of the image of a transgender character on the screen is a very risky and courageous act. Judging by the interviews of his colleagues, Jared completely got used to his hero and was constantly in a kind of trance state due to severe indisposition. In parallel with participation in the famous group "30 seconds to Mars", Leto actively starred in TV series, but his acting talent was noticed after participating in the film "Requiem for a Dream". It was there that he appeared in the foreground, after which he began to practice it much more often. The actor has already experimented with his weight, gaining a few (very many) extra pounds for the movie "Chapter 27" about the killer John Lennon. And in "Mr. Nobody" he appears to the audience in an unrecognizable make-up, depicting himself in old age.
