3) We mark the location of the eyes, ears, draw the muzzle. Also draw the lion's big mane, but keep in mind that we see more mane on one side than on the other (due to the pose of the animal). Draw the lion's mouth and lower fangs, which are slightly visible from the mouth. In addition, draw long hair on the chin - such a beard. Thus, the lion looks more massive.

4) Draw the previous step in more detail. Please note that this is the penultimate step, so think through all the details.

5) The lion drawn in pencil is ready. In order to make it look more regal, it is advisable to outline the contours with a marker, black felt-tip pen or (in extreme cases) a gel pen. At the connection of the lines, make the outlines thicker, this will create the effect of volume.

6) You can color the lion with colored markers, felt-tip pens or pencils. Before painting, erase all the lines drawn with a pencil, because after painting they will not be erased, and with them the drawing will look sloppy. You can also paint the lion with paints (gouache is a great choice!), but in thiscase, you will have to update the contours when they dry.
