People's Artist of the USSR Vladimir Zeldin will soon turn 99 years old, and he is still full of energy - he leads an active life, acts in films and plays in the theater. Many are surprised how one can keep a clear mind and work in such years. But Vladimir Mikhailovich does not drink, does not smoke, he always tried to play sports. Here is one of the facts that shows how vivid Zeldin's biography is. Once, already at an advanced age, at a film festival in Sochi, he swam in the sea when the water temperature barely reached 15 degrees. Even his younger colleagues did not dare to do this, and Vladimir Mikhailovich, like a real walrus, dived, swam, then did exercises on the shore.
Childhood
Zeldin's biography begins in 1915, when on February 10 he was born in the city of Kozlov (in a new way, Michurinsk). His mother worked as a teacher, and his father had a conservatory musical education. The atmosphere of art reigned in the Zeldin family, they often played musical instruments, read books, talked about literature and poetry. All the sisters and brothers of Vladimir Mikhailovich owned some kind of instrument - someone played the piano, someone played the cello, someoneviolin.
In 1924 the family moved to Moscow. When the boy was 14 years old, Zeldin's biography is replenished with a sad fact - his father died, and after 3 years his mother. A paramilitary school helped the young man survive the tragedy. The boy studied diligently, went in for sports - he ran skiing, skating, played football, volleyball. All this helped him, even becoming an orphan, not to fall into bad company, not to start smoking and drinking.
The biography of Vladimir Zeldin would not be complete without one significant event - in 1930 he took part in a military parade on Red Square. It seemed that the young man was simply destined to become a military man, but due to a vision problem, the medical board did not give him a ticket after school to the sailor that he dreamed of. Thanks to this, the country found a wonderful actor who later became a great one.
Theatrical and film career
But then he didn't think of becoming an artist yet. The biography of Zeldin of that time is not uncommon. He worked at the factory as a fitter's apprentice. But the young man did not like this position. An outlet for him were performances in theater teams at factory celebrations. And fate went to meet the creative soul of Vladimir. Once he saw an ad for admission to the school at the Theater named after MGSPS. Vladimir came to the exams, but, as he himself thought, he did not pass the test. However, the young man was accepted and enrolled in a theater school.
That's how the young man first got into the theater, and then into the cinema. So the great artist Zeldin was born. His biography is excellentfilm works. In 1941, director Ivan Pyryev took the young man to one of the main roles in the film The Pig and the Shepherd. Vladimir Mikhailovich himself recalls that the filming took place in the harsh environment of the outbreak of war, and had to be filmed in between enemy raids.
In 1948, Vladimir Zeldin starred in The Legend of the Siberian Land, the actor's biography is replenished with another excellent role. In 1975, Vladimir Mikhailovich was awarded the title of "People's Artist". He starred in more than two dozen films and presented his fans with many excellent theatrical works. Favorite actor is still in demand - he plays in the theater, attends film festivals and leads an active lifestyle.
