Born on January 11, 1957 in Korkino, Chelyabinsk region. Russian poet and prose writer. In 1978 he graduated from the Kurgan Military-Political School (received a gold medal). And in 1990 he graduated from the Faculty of the Military-Political Academy with a pedagogical profile and postgraduate studies at Moscow University with a military direction.

In 1996, Alexander Kerdan presented his thesis "Art in the system of means of forming the honor of an officer of the Armed Forces of Russia." Served in the Soviet Army for 27 years, and then in the Russian Army, wherewas a political worker, a teacher, and then a military journalist.
