American drummer Matt Sorum is also a percussionist. He is best known for playing with Guns N' Roses. Sorum collaborated with this team from 1990 to 1997. He currently plays in a band called Velvet Revolver. The musician is also the owner of Drac Studios, a recording studio.
Biography
Matt Sorum was born in California, in Orange County. This happened in 1960, on November 19th. His parents are of English and Norwegian descent.
The future musician became interested in drumming when he saw Ringo Starr. It was in 1964. Later, various artists influenced the musician's work, including Ginger Baker, Keith Moon and Ian Pace. Matt established himself as a first-class musician already in 1975. At that time, the young man dressed provocatively, and this attracted the attention of members of the local group Prophecy.
