Childhood, youth and stage dream

Larisa Valentinovna Krivtsova was born on the first day of January 1949 in Vilnius. Her father was a military man, so the family repeatedly moved from one city to another. Finally, the Krivtsovs settled in Yaroslavl. Here Larisa went to school and began attending a theater group. The girl really liked to participate in performances, and in high school she decided to enterlocal theater school.

However, strict parents considered the profession of an actress frivolous and persuaded their daughter to choose a more solid speci alty. Under their pressure, Krivtsova became a student of the philological faculty of the Yaroslavl Pedagogical Institute, from which she graduated with honors in 1974. After that, the girl entered graduate school and began to prepare for a scientific career, but she still had a craving for art.

To somehow touch the beautiful, she actively visited the institute theater. On its stage, Larisa Valentinovna played Zhenya Kamelkova in the play based on the work of B. Vasiliev "The Dawns Here Are Quiet" and the first woman of Adam in the "Divine Comedy" by Dante Alighieri.

When Krivtsova was in graduate school, the dream of a professional stage of the unexpected became a reality for her. The director of the student theater of the Pedagogical Institute was invited to teach at the Yaroslavl Theater School. He was to stage a performance, but the actress for the main role could not be found. And then the director remembered Larisa Krivtsova, who was well known to him from the student theater, and invited her immediately to the third year of the acting department of the theater school.
