One of the most vivid memories of our unspoiled childhood is the Mexican series. Their list is not so long, but the brightest of them are surely remembered by everyone. These are "Wild Rose", "Just Maria", "The rich also cry", "My second mother", "No one but you".

Let's remember each of them separately. Let's start with the series "The Rich Cry Too". It was released in Mexico, of course, not in the nineties, but in 1979. But the premiere for Russian viewers took place only in 1991. Thousands of women and girls cried over the difficult fate of Marianna Villarreal, her difficulties in relations with her beloved man - Luis Alberto, lost son Beto and adopted daughter Marisabel. How many daughters impressionable mothers in those years called Marianne!

An integral part of our past - Mexican series. The list goes on with the long-running and memorable soap opera Just Maria. The beautiful Victoria Ruffo brilliantly played the role of a village girl, Maria Lopez, who came from a remote province to a big city to seek her fortune. She survived the betrayal of the first man, was left alone in a strange city with a baby in her arms,but she did not give up, but achieved her goal and became the most famous fashion designer, and also found love in the person of her former literacy teacher, Victor Careno. Over the misadventures throughout the series, Maria sobbed the whole country, everyone empathized and sympathized with her, condemned the windy Juan Carlos and unanimously hated the villain Lorena.

Mexican serials of the 90s are a storehouse of emotions and experiences. There was collapse and devastation in our country, people survived as best they could, but in the evening watching TV they plunged into another world - the world of passions, love, we alth and betrayal. Experiences for the main characters helped to endure their own troubles more easily. While watching the series "Nobody But You" with Lucia Mendez in the title role, all the women of Russia experienced two conflicting feelings at the same time - envy and pity. They sympathized with Raquel Samaniego, and immediately envied - envied the love that Maximiliano Albeniz and Antonio Lombardo experienced for her. What intensity of passions! What drama and tragedy! Andrés Garcia and Salvador Pineda play hatred and rivalry very convincingly.

All these soap operas came out in Mexico much earlier, in the 70s and80s, but they didn't reach us right away, that's why we call them "Mexican soap operas of the 90s". This list will continue the most sensational of them - "Wild Rose". Veronica Castro for the second time pleased the Russian audience with her appearance on the screens after the overwhelming success of the series “The Rich Toocrying." This woman, at 35 years old (namely, that was how old she was at the time of the filming of Wild Rose), perfectly and reliably played an 18-20-year-old tomboy girl. How Russian women, watching the events on the screen, would like to meet the same prince as Ricardo Linares, who will take them from the slums to his palace and make a Princess out of Cinderella!

Mexican series, the list of which is inexhaustible in Mexico itself, we have released a very limited number. The last one I would like to remember is “My second mother”. The main role of fashion designer Daniela Lorente was played by a wonderful Mexican actress and singer Maria Sorte. The main difference between the plot of this film and all the others is that the heroine does not get out of poverty, she is already a fully established business woman. But the drama in her life from this does not become less. Traitor-husband Alberto, new love in the person of Juan Antonio, the problem of misunderstanding with his ten-year-old daughter Monica, a dangerous rival Irene … And all this for many years. The heroine of Maria Sorte was able to touch the hearts of not only Mexican, but also Russian spectators.

Well, all these foreign fairy tales were filmed by the Televisa studio, the first largest Latin American media company. Televisa is the world's largest producer of Latin American Spanish-language soap operas, it is to her that we owe the fact that at one time we watched Mexican TV series, the list of which has been preserved in the memory of more than one generation of Russian viewers.
