MGK is a Russian techno and pop project founded in 1990 as a rock band. In 1992, the team announced itself as a studio project of the musician and composer Vladimir Kyzylov. The songs of the group belong to the styles of rap, techno and eurodance. The name is assembled from the first letters of the names of the participants: Vladimir Malgin, Sergey Gorbatov, Vladimir Kyzylov.

In 1990, three friends met: composer and musician Vladimir Kyzylov, guitarist Sergei Gorbatov and sound engineer Vladimir Malgin. Soon they decided to create their own musical project. During the August coup of 1991, the musicians played the song "Hammer and Sickle". In January 1992, the project became a studio project.

Soloist Anya Baranova joined the group in 1993 with the composition "Janitor Vasily". Subsequently, she sang together with Elena Dubrovskaya, her voice can be heard in the song "Mistress No. 2", she worked on recording samples until the day when a fire broke out at the Nika studio. Later, she began to collaborate with Alexander Aivazov.

Soloist ElenaDubrovskaya joined the group in 1993 with the song Jump and became a backing vocalist. After the fire that occurred at the Nika studio, her solo work Russian Album was released. The disc also included the song "Candles", which had a certain popularity. Before joining the team, Elena Dubrovskaya performed in the city of Ivanovo in a children's ensemble called "A+B".

Music

The result of the created creative union was the group's album "Rap in the Rain". It was published on audio cassettes and studio reels by the Soyuz studio. The work was released in 1992. The features of the album were very humorous and unexpected inclusions of rap, as well as the satirical spirit of the compositions.

The composition "Hammer and Sickle", presented in this album, was included in the collection "Soyuz 6". The MGK group released their next album in 1993. The record was called "Techno" and recorded in the appropriate style.

A distinctive feature can be considered a very diverse lyrics in the texts: in the song "Farewell, I'm sorry!" it is romantic, and in the composition "In the world of technology" it is rather anti-war. The songs "In the World of Technology" and "Night Concert" were recorded back in 1991.
