This actor is familiar to many residents of the country as the eye-browed guest worker Dzhamshut from the most popular comedy series Our Russia. The recognition and love of millions of viewers came to this man only when he was over fifty. Appearing out of nowhere in 2006, ten years later he suddenly disappeared again…

Parents

The paternal Magdyash family originated from Hungary and Moldova. Thus, in the blood of Alexander Stepanovich Magdyash, the father of our hero, the blood of either Hungarian Moldavians, or Moldavian Hungarians flowed. His wife, Alexandra Vasilievna Romanova, mother of Valery Magdyash, an accountant by profession, was not just a Russian, but also an incredibly beautiful Siberian from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a virtuoso dancer and singer. When the Great Patriotic War ended, fate pushed her mother, grandmother Valery, to move from Siberia to Moldova, and soon numerous relatives of their family followed her.

Front-line soldier AlexanderStepanovich Magdyash worked in the Cheka before the war, and then at various times served as chief of police in such Moldovan towns as Anenii Novye, Cimisli, Cahul and Vadul-lui-Voda. He was a serious man, he had a fairly high rank, but at the same time he sang beautifully and generally liked to have fun. And when Alexander Stepanovich and Alexandra Vasilievna performed a duet in front of their neighbors at some holiday, it became a truly unforgettable performance for all those present.

Childhood and youth

Valery Alexandrovich Magdyash was born on August 7, 1951 in the capital city of Chisinau, Moldavian SSR.

The earliest memories of the future star of the TV channel "TNT" was the feeling of some unthinkable tender love of his parents for each other, which the actor likes to remember in almost every interview.

And then his father went headlong into the fight against the Carpathian Bandera, and young Valera practically did not see him for a long time. Alexander Stepanovich returned home well after midnight, kissed his sleeping son, and left again early in the morning. The boy was left to himself.

Valery grew up as a very mobile and artistic child. Already at the age of eight he became a laureate of the All-Union Festival, where he played the role of Vasily Terkin himself. The boy was noticed by the famous Moldovan director Emil Loteanu and soon invited him to screen tests. However, Valery Magdyash's mother was against it and did not let her son go.

Later, our hero came across the work of K. Paustovsky "The Book of Wanderings", afterreading which he fell ill with the sea and for many years forgot about creativity. After graduating from high school, Valery went after his dream to Simferopol. There he entered the Higher Military-Political Construction School, graduated with honors and was assigned to the Far East. After serving for several years as a company political officer, in 1975 Valery ended up in a hospital, after which he was commissioned to Moscow.

There, in the capital, twenty-four-year-old Magdyash finally put an end to the career of a military naval officer and entered GITIS.
