This actor is familiar to many residents of the country as the eye-browed guest worker Dzhamshut from the most popular comedy series Our Russia. The recognition and love of millions of viewers came to this man only when he was over fifty. Appearing out of nowhere in 2006, ten years later he suddenly disappeared again…
Parents
The paternal Magdyash family originated from Hungary and Moldova. Thus, in the blood of Alexander Stepanovich Magdyash, the father of our hero, the blood of either Hungarian Moldavians, or Moldavian Hungarians flowed. His wife, Alexandra Vasilievna Romanova, mother of Valery Magdyash, an accountant by profession, was not just a Russian, but also an incredibly beautiful Siberian from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a virtuoso dancer and singer. When the Great Patriotic War ended, fate pushed her mother, grandmother Valery, to move from Siberia to Moldova, and soon numerous relatives of their family followed her.
Front-line soldier AlexanderStepanovich Magdyash worked in the Cheka before the war, and then at various times served as chief of police in such Moldovan towns as Anenii Novye, Cimisli, Cahul and Vadul-lui-Voda. He was a serious man, he had a fairly high rank, but at the same time he sang beautifully and generally liked to have fun. And when Alexander Stepanovich and Alexandra Vasilievna performed a duet in front of their neighbors at some holiday, it became a truly unforgettable performance for all those present.
Childhood and youth
Valery Alexandrovich Magdyash was born on August 7, 1951 in the capital city of Chisinau, Moldavian SSR.
The earliest memories of the future star of the TV channel "TNT" was the feeling of some unthinkable tender love of his parents for each other, which the actor likes to remember in almost every interview.
And then his father went headlong into the fight against the Carpathian Bandera, and young Valera practically did not see him for a long time. Alexander Stepanovich returned home well after midnight, kissed his sleeping son, and left again early in the morning. The boy was left to himself.
Valery grew up as a very mobile and artistic child. Already at the age of eight he became a laureate of the All-Union Festival, where he played the role of Vasily Terkin himself. The boy was noticed by the famous Moldovan director Emil Loteanu and soon invited him to screen tests. However, Valery Magdyash's mother was against it and did not let her son go.
Later, our hero came across the work of K. Paustovsky "The Book of Wanderings", afterreading which he fell ill with the sea and for many years forgot about creativity. After graduating from high school, Valery went after his dream to Simferopol. There he entered the Higher Military-Political Construction School, graduated with honors and was assigned to the Far East. After serving for several years as a company political officer, in 1975 Valery ended up in a hospital, after which he was commissioned to Moscow.
There, in the capital, twenty-four-year-old Magdyash finally put an end to the career of a military naval officer and entered GITIS.

Theatre
After graduating from GITIS, Magdyash was enrolled in the troupe of the Moscow Comedy Theater, where he worked for three years. After that, he served at the Pokrovka Theater, and was also busy at the A. Dzhigarkhanyan Theater. During these years, the actor could be seen in such performances as "Talents and Admirers", "Jealousy", "Hamlet", "Inspector", "Duck Hunt" and many others.
With the advent of the 90s, Valery Alexandrovich got a job at the Ministry of Culture, where he was involved in projects aimed at the spiritual revival of Russia through the theater, and also succeeded in a theater producing career.
In 2010, Magdyash presented to the theatrical world his own solo performance "Bunch of Dandelions", telling about everything important to him - about his parents, about serving in the army, about his first love, about how he did something right and about what he is ashamed of. This sincere and touching production was very fond of the audience, who discovered from an unexpected side of the actor, familiar to many in the image of Dzhamshut from the comedy sitcom "Our Russia".
Cinema
Cinema appeared in the biography of Valery Magdyash only in 1998, when the actor's age was already approaching fifty.
His debut role as a judge in Valery Priemykhov's film "Who, if not us" was very small.
Magdyash's next film work followed five years later - he appeared in one of the episodes of the popular series "Truckers 2". In 2004, the actor played the director of a casino in the serial film "Lawyer", and a year later he starred in the film "Lucky".
The most significant year for Valery Aleksandrovich was 2006, when the first season of the most popular comedy sitcom Our Russia started.
The role of the guest worker Dzhamshut, which he played in tandem with the famous comedian Mikhail Galustyan, acting in the guise of his permanent on-screen partner Ravshan, became for the fifty-five-year-old Valery Magdyash, whose films are not so many, truly stellar. For three seasons of filming in this series, the actor became mega-popular not only in Russia, but also in almost all former Soviet republics.
In 2010, Valery Alexandrovich further consolidated hisreputation by playing the role of Jamshut in the brilliant full-length comedy Our Russia. Eggs of Destiny. With this picture, the creators of the sitcom completed the story of their project.
One of the last significant works of Magdyash in the cinema was his participation in the filming of the documentary "The Eye of God", released in 2012, in which the actor played the roles of Ambroise Vollard and Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev.
Private life
Valery Magdyash has three happy marriages behind him.
With his first wife, Muscovite Alla Zakharova, he lived for fifteen years. Their marriage eventually collapsed on its own due to the almost complete absence of Valery and Alla from each other. Each of them was busy with his own career, endless trips, tours and business trips. They eventually parted ways as friends. From this marriage, Valery Alexandrovich has a daughter, Victoria, and a grandson, Nikita.
Finally tired of loneliness, the actor married Natalia Evseeva, who was fifteen years younger than him. In their short-lived marriage, a daughter, Ksenia, and a grandson, Konstantin, were born. It all ended with the fact that Natalya and her daughter went to live in New Zealand.
The third wife of Magdyash was a certain Natasha, with whom the actor lived only two scandalous years.
Today
Last year, misfortune happened to Valery Magdyash. The actor has long dreamed of a new home and has been saving money for this for a long time. When he collected all the necessary amount by selling his old apartment in Moscow, he packed the money in a suitcase and carried it tobank, unidentified persons stunned him with a strong blow to the head from behind and robbed him.
Valery Aleksandrovich was left without housing, documents and means of subsistence. Out of desperation, he began to be homeless in the Krasnodar Territory, closer to the heat. One fine day, Magdyash was sleeping at the railway station in Essentuki and caught the eye of Tatyana Vanchugova.
The woman recognized the famous actor and invited her to live in the village of Supsekh, located near Anapa.
