Andrey's friends (the main character of the film) have a tradition: on a festive night, dial a phone number at random and congratulate a complete stranger. This time, Alena, the girl who was left alone on the holiday, picks up the phone. Young people decide to continue communication and meet. But how can such a trifle interfere with the romance that has begun? A lively, hospitable, cheerful picture - this is how the film "Five Brides" can be characterized. Alexei gets into all sorts of troubles in order to fulfill his promise: he had to run away from angry relatives, and play the role of a doctor, and sit under arrest. After all, a polygamist in Soviet times was not the most honorable title. It is they who have to become a hero for a while. Fortunately, his efforts were rewarded, the brides were all caught as a match.

The fate of friends arranged. But what about myself? "Chumichka" - this is how the heroine played by Liza Boyarskaya, one of the future wives, called. It was Zoya who was with Alexei during all the ups and downs. It was she who won the heart of the brave pilot.
