The future singer was born in 1950, March 19, in the Astrakhan region, in the family of Georgy Ivanovich Babkin, a descendant of the Cossacks who served in the White Army. The Chistyakov family, from which Nadezhda's mother, Tamara Alexandrovna, came from, owned one of the Moscow manufactories in pre-revolutionary times.

In 1957, the daughter was sent to the first grade of a secondary school in the village of Bolkhuny, where Georgy Ivanovich was appointed chairman of the collective farm.
