It was “fashionable” to listen to Chicherin, and the girl’s songs now and then became soundtracks for famous films. Recently, however, less and less is said about Chicherina. What is the once-popular singer doing these days?

Yulia Chicherina: biography. Youth

The future singer was born in 1978 in the city of Sverdlovsk. Since childhood, Yulia Chicherina has shown interest in music. Especially the girl loved to sing at matinees in kindergarten. However, she did it too loudly, literally shouting over all the children, and she didn’t even hit the notes. Because of this, her mother had to blush for her daughter at every holiday.

Yulia was never accepted into the children's choir, stating that she "has no data". Therefore, for some time the girl was intensively engaged in drawing. However, interest in music took its toll, and Chicherina began to independently learn to play the guitar, as well as drums.

When it was time to choose a profession, Yulia did not immediately decide to enter the pop vocal department: sheshe tried to get into the Faculty of Art History, but failed, and then studied for a year as a librarian. But for the eccentric Julia, librarianship turned out to be a rather boring occupation. She dropped out of college, prepared well and finally entered a music school.

Career start

In 1997, the Chicherina group was born, which, in addition to Yulia, included such musicians as Alexander Bury, Azat Mukhametov and Alexander Alexandrov. At the same time, Yulia Chicherina (photo presented in the article) composed her first hit "Tu-lu-la". At first, the group performed in small clubs and at rock festivals in Western Siberia. Then the time came for more decisive steps, and Chicherina sent a cassette with her recordings to the director of Nashe Radio. The song was aired. The group "Chicherina" in an instant became famous throughout Russia.

Soon the record company Real Records offers musicians a contract. They agree to his terms and move to Moscow in full force. The producer of their album, which was scheduled for release in 2000, is the leader of the rock band Agatha Christie. So Yulia Chicherina began a new life.

Musical success

Yulia Chicherina released her first album, as planned, in 2000. It was called "Dreams". Timur Bekmambetov, then a little-known director in Russia, was invited to shoot the first two clips. The work on the video was successfully completed, and by the end of the same year, the clips "Tu-lu-la", as well as "Heat" appeared on the air of the Muz-TV channel.

From that moment on, the Chicherina group entered a new stage in its development and went on a big tour around the country. The guys became regular participants in many music festivals, including the Invasion rock festival.

In parallel with the recording of the new album, Yulia Chicherina, together with the Bi-2 group, released an absolute hit - the song "My Rock and Roll".

For 15 years of its existence, the group has released 7 studio albums. The compositions of Yulia Chicherina are heard in popular domestic and foreign films. For example, "Tu-lu-la" became the soundtrack to the Russian action movie "Brother-2" and the Spanish melodrama "Room in Rome". And the song "Doctors" sounded in the sensational film Gaius Germanicus "A Short Course in a Happy Life".

Movie debut

Yulia Chicherina, whose photos often end up on the pages of newspapers and magazines, acted in films several times.

For the first time she was invited to his film by Timur Bekmambetov. It was a historical painting "Gladiatrix". In it, Chicherina played the role of the slave gladiator Deirdre.

According to the singer herself, she got the role "crazy", because for the sake of filming the girl had to shave her head. Moreover, Chicherina then managed not only to cope with her role, but also to record the soundtrack for the film. She then performed at the premiere of Gladiatrix with her band.

A year later, Yulia appeared in Alexander Buravsky's TV series Ice Age. The film told about the activities of a special unit under the MUR to combatbanditry. The film involved such stars as Alexander Abdulov, Irina Rozanova, Maria Mironova and many others. Yulia Chicherina got the role of the singer Anyuta.

Chicherina's last film work was shooting in the 2004 film "Words and Music".

Private life

Yulia Chicherina, whose personal life since 2000. is under the close attention of fans, in 1999 she gave birth to a daughter, Maya, from Alexander Bury. Alexander was a bassist in the Chicherina group for a long time, but after breaking up with Yulia, he left the band.

Julia loves animals. In particular, she has several dogs, and the singer also breeds domestic bees.

Chicherina is a big fan of travel. She traveled almost the whole world, including Russia, the USA, Europe and Southeast Asia. The singer recently returned from a road trip to Tibet.

Singer Yulia Chicherina released her last album in 2015. It is dedicated to her numerous travels around the world and is called "The Tale of the Journey and the Search for Happiness." Yulia continues to perform throughout Russia with this musical program.

However, the presentation of the album was carried out not in the fashionable clubs of Moscow, but on the stage of the unrecognized republics of the DPR and LPR. Recently, the singer often travels there, providing support to the local population in the form ofhumanitarian aid. In the summer, Chicherina, for example, raised funds to support the Lugansk Zoo. A little later, she took the initiative to create a Luhansk rock festival for local bands.
