What you need to prepare for work

1. Thick paper for drawing.
2. Plain pencils of different hardness. All of them should be well sharpened and have a sharp lead.

Step 1

Staging composition. It may sound loud, but without it, it will be difficult for you to understand where to start working on a drawing. Take a piece of white paper and place it on a table or chair, whichever you prefer. Place a cube on a sheet of paper and direct a beam of light from the lamp onto it. This way your composition from the cube will get a good volume. You will have a distinct light side, front side (looking at you) and dark side of the cube.
