Author's life

The future popular American writer was born in Nebraska, in the small town of North Platte. Back in 2001, she had no idea that she would become a popular read author of fantasy novels. This year, Becca Fitzpatrick received her PhD in Public He alth from Brigham Young University. She worked in the city of Provo as a secretary, accountant and teacher in an ordinary high school until she completed a writing course and wrote her first book. Today the writer and her family live inColorado.

Becca Fitzpatrick says her favorite activities are jogging, shopping and looking at different shoe stores. She loves to watch crime dramas and also loves ice cream and tries a new flavor every time.

The young author's love for literature was discovered as a child, when, hiding from her parents, she read books about the adventures of the unforgettable Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden with a flashlight under the covers.

First book

It was her beloved husband who, in 2003, enrolled Becca in a writing course helped her discover her writing talent. He gave this surprise on his birthday to his soul mate. Becca Fitzpatrick successfully graduated and wrote her first novel, Hush, Hush, which was translated into Russian as What Angels Keep Silent About.

It was this book that made Beka famous. The first novel quickly won the interest and love of readers and even became a bestseller, according to the editors of the New York Times. The film rights to this book were purchased by LD Entertainment. The film was scheduled to begin production in 2013, with the book being adapted into a film by Patrick Sean Smith, who created the Greek series. To date, the film, unfortunately, has not yet been released, and its further fate is unknown. It is possible that "What the Angels Are Silent About" will remain without a film adaptation on the big screen.

Other books

The famous novel "What the angels are silent about" has its continuation. Following the first book, three more novels were published. They have the names "Crescendo", "Oblivion", "Final". The full cycle was called "Silence". There was also published the story "The Dungeons of the Castle of Lange", written by Fitzpatrick. Becca, whose books have gained recognition and popularity among modern readers, has released a brand new story called Black Ice.

Written in the psychological thriller genre, the novel is very captivating and breathtaking from the first pages. Even the name "Black Ice" is intriguing. Becca Fitzpatrick told the story of Britt Pfeiffer, which takes place in the mountains of Wyoming. A 17-year-old girl is training to climb the peak of Teton Range. During a snowstorm, the girl is forced to accept the help of two hospitable owners of a small house. But their hospitality turns out to be a hoax, and Britt becomes a hostage. The girl must help them get down from the mountain safe and sound. At the same time, she learns about a series of murders that have taken place in these mountains, and Britt may become the next victim of a mysterious killer. In addition to a thriller-style detective story, a love line develops between Britt and her former friend Calvin, who followed her to the mountains.
