In this article we will tell you how to draw Winnie the Pooh step by step with a pencil.

Winnie the Pooh - "a bear with sawdust in his head", a character in the stories and poems of Alan Alexander Milne, an English writer. The author began to write stories about this bear cub for his son. However, the stories about Winnie the Pooh were such a colossal success that no one now practically talks about other works by the then well-known playwright A. Milne.

Tools and materials

In order to draw Winnie the Pooh step by step, as shown in the pictures below, you will need: a sheet of paper in a box, a simple pencil and an eraser. If you plan to paint the drawing later, then you will also need brushes, paints of various colors and a jar of water. If you have everything you need already prepared, let's start drawing!

How to draw Winnie the Pooh by cells

Another way to draw

Now let's try to draw a teddy bear without relying on the cells.

  1. The first step is to sketch the head. The shape of the head should somehow resemble a symmetrical pear.
  2. Next, draw the contours of the torso. Draw an oval directly under the head. Add arms and legs to it, which look like long and slightly modified ovals.
  3. Start adding details: outlines of the ears, Winnie's shirt. Using a wavy line, draw the bottom line of the shirt. Outline the collar and sleeves.
  4. Let's move on to how to draw Winnie the Pooh's face. We draw a nose in the middle of the face. Above it we have two points that will serve as the eyes of the bear. Using curved lines depict the mouth. Draw eyebrows and gonext.
  5. With the help of an eraser we remove all unnecessary lines crossing others. We pass along the contour of the picture, making it clearer. Adding folds to the shirt to make it look more realistic.

Coloring the picture

After Winnie the Pooh is drawn, you need to color him. To do this, you will need paints in yellow, brown, red, pink and black.

  • Start with Winnie the Pooh's shirt: paint it red.
  • We make the teddy bear in yellow.
  • Spout, eyes, eyebrows decorate with black.
  • Tongue is pink.

After you have given Winnie the Pooh colorful, it is worth noting the contours of his body. We pass along the edges of the entire pattern in brown (not dark!). To dilute dark brown, simply use more water. The contours of the head, ears, mouth, arms, legs and the entire body are outlined in light brown. We draw several bend lines on the body with the same color. We decorate the shirt in the same way, only in black (also not very dark!).
