This gives the impression of atypicality - Shiranui's emotions are never exaggerated and hidden, as is customary to do in various anime. This is what attracts fans of the anime "Naruto".

Character and appearance

Genma Shiranui in the anime adaptation is shown with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes, of medium height, wearing the normal Konoha chunin uniform. In the manga, she has light-colored hair. The main attribute of appearance is a bandana tied in front and a needle (senbon) constantly in the mouth.

Presented as an incredibly calm and reasonable, slightly casual, but proud shinobi. However, he often smiles and loves to joke around. Extremely concerned about the new generation and during the escape Sasuke became one of the first who went to save him, which almost cost him his life.

Biography

Born and raised in the VillageHidden sheet. The son of a traveler and a saleswoman. Always dreamed of a quiet life in abundance. The future jōnin did not know for a long time what to do in life until he entered the shinobi academy, which he graduated with honors. Already at the age of 12, he easily became a chuunin, which is very rare.

After one of the missions, he received a mortal wound, but survived thanks to the assistant of the fifth hokage Shizune. As such, Genma Shiranui was suspended from assignments for a full three years. He continued his activities only after reaching the age of 20.

By the age of 25 he became a special purpose jōnin. He acted as the personal bodyguard of the Fourth Hokage Namikaze Minato. During the first season, Naruto was the judge for the chunin exam. Attended the meeting of the Five Kage War Council as Tsunade's escort.

Powers and abilities

Senbon in Genma's mouth is not just for beauty or as a toothpick. He is able to spit it out with such force that he can beat back a kunai. Possesses the element of wind. In the anime, there are few battles that Shiranui participated in, but the jōnin is known as a strong fighter who completes A and S rank missions.

The Sound Four had to apply the second level of the cursed seal in order to defeat him. Minato taught him the Space-Time Technique of the Flying Thunder God, able to use it with only two assistants. It played an important role in the Third Great Shinobi War. It has the following techniques in its arsenal:

• Rain of needles. With helpscrolls of spatial teleportation rain down needles (sometimes poisoned) on the enemy. There is a variation of chakra needles.
• The fury of the wind. Genma Shiranui fires a wind chakra-enhanced weapon at the enemy that is nearly unblockable.

• Wind Element - Decrease in pressure. Decreased pressure at a certain point, causing the opponent to lose consciousness.
• Wind Element - Great Air Dragon. The most destructive technique shown by Shiranui to Naruto during the exam incident. It is a dragon formed by a strong stream of compressed air, which is able to attack the enemy by itself.
