Nikolai Alekseevich Nekrasov is a famous Russian poet. His works are permeated with compassion for the common people. They show love for their native land. Such is the poem of the poet "Grandfather". Introduces the summary of the work.
Nekrasov, "Grandfather" - the beginning of the poem
First, readers will learn about the boy Sasha. He doesn't go to school yet, but he's already very inquisitive. Once a child saw a portrait of a man in his father's office and asked who he was. Dad sadly replied that this was Sasha's grandfather. The boy began to ask his mother why he had never seen his grandfather, maybe he was bad? She replied that grandfather was good, only unhappy. This is how N. Nekrasov ("Grandfather") begins his poem. The summary tells about further events.
Somehow the boy saw that his parents were cleaning the house and looked very happy at the same time. He soon found out why. The same grandfather Sasha came to them. By this scene the readerlearns what honor and respect was shown to the elders back in the 19th century: the father washed the grandfather's feet, and the mother combed and kissed his curls. And grandfather was very happy to meet his relatives. Where has he been all this time? The summary will answer this question
Nekrasov, "Grandfather" - continuation of the story
The child and grandfather became very good friends. In the summer they swam in a boat, went for a walk together. During one of these walks, Sasha's grandfather saw a peasant plowing the land. He told him to rest and harnessed himself to the plow. To the question of his grandson, he replied that he felt sorry for the peasants, because they had a hard life and hard work. He told Sasha about a prosperous village called Tarbagatai. The settlement is located far beyond Baikal. It was there that several peasants were exiled during the church schism. There people live well and happily. They have such well-behaved cows, which are as fat as city merchants, and horses can be sent to the exhibition even now. There are so many geese that when they are near, it seems as if it is a huge white carpet that stretches to the horizon.
That's about such a prosperous village told the summary of the story "Grandfather". Nekrasov really wanted such villages to exist. But the slave position of the peasants at that time ruled out such a possibility.
The singer of the people, who was very sympathetic to the peasants
To show the terrible situation of ordinary people in society, Nikolai Alekseevich, through the mouth of one of the main characters, tells a sadhistory. Once there was a wedding going on in a church. They already wanted to put on rings for the young, then one landowner went to pray in God's temple. He began to resent why the wedding is taking place without permission? He gave the groom to the soldiers, and then the service could last 25 years. The peasants were disenfranchised at that time.
This is what the summary says. Nekrasov (Sasha's grandfather conveys the author's thoughts to the reader) could not look indifferently at such a terrible situation for the poor people. Apparently, the elderly man participated in the Decembrist uprising. It was for this that he was exiled by the tsar to Siberia. This is not directly written in the poem, but the author strongly hints at this. After all, in the evenings, while making something, my grandfather sang songs about freedom, about the terrible lot of peasants. He also sang about Volkonskaya and Trubetskoy. These women followed their husbands to Siberia, who were exiled there after the uprising. They were not afraid of difficulties and shared their fate with their husbands.
End piece
But the boy Sasha did not know about all this yet. The adults did not answer his questions about where his grandfather had been all this time. This is told in a summary, Nekrasov. Grandfather said that the grandson would learn about everything when he studied history and geography. The boy really wanted to study, and now he is 10 years old. He became a diligent student and, of course, realized that his grandfather was a real hero. He fought for the rights of the peasantry, worried about the hard lot of ordinary people, and it was for this that he was exiled to Siberia. This is no longer mentioned in the work, but the thinking reader iswill understand.
