John Noble is a popular Australian actor and director of over 80 theatrical productions. Noble became famous for his role as Dr. W alter Bishop in the sci-fi television series Fringe, as well as the role of Henry Parrish in the mystical series Sleepy Hollow. The beginning of an acting career

In a feature film, John Noble first appeared in 1988, playing a small role in the Australian horror film The Vision. For the next 10 years, the actor played mainly in low-budget films that were not widely known outside of Australia.

In 2004, after finishing work on the Lord of the Rings franchise, the actor tried his hand at a new genre, playing in the historical drama One Night with the King. The literary primary source of the picture was the novel "Hadassah: One Night with the King", based in part on the biblical Book of Esther. Critics praised the film's visuals, but called the script a "disappointment" due to its length and lack of momentum. The film flopped at the box office, grossing only $13 million worldwide.

In 2015, Noble received a supporting role in the American detective series Elementary. John Noble played Morland Holmes, father of Sherlock Holmes, in 13 episodes of the project.
