On February 19, 1979, a boy named Vitalik was born in the Latvian city of Daugavpils. He was a long-awaited and beloved child. Vitas is not a pseudonym, but just the Latvian version of the Russian name Vitaly. Soon the Grachevs moved to Odessa (Ukraine).

Our hero took a big risk by taking an underage young lady away from home. But Sveta's mother approved her daughter's choice and let her go with a light heart.

Soon the couple formalized their relationship in one of the Moscow registry offices. The ceremony was held in the strictest secrecy. The singer diligently protected his personal life from outside interference. Only a few years ago, in an interview with the print media, he admitted that he had been married for a long time.
