Who is he? How did you find yourself in art? And why are his creations so remarkable? Let's find out.

Childhood

The future impressionist artist Bato Dugarzhapov was born in the winter of 1966 in the large prosperous village of Duldurga, located in the basin of the picturesque river in the Chita region.

Over time, the family moved to Moscow, where the boy studied at the capital's art school. The talent of the painter was inherent in the child from childhood. Under his light gifted hand, vivid images came to life on a sheet of white paper.

The skill of the young artist did not go unnoticed. At the age of seventeen, Bato Dugarzhapov, whose paintings attracted the eye with their freshness and originality, received an encouraging diploma for the best composition. The competition was held between all art schools of the Soviet Union.

Creative youth

After completing his secondary education, young Batoentered the monumental department at the Academic Institute. Surikov is one of the leading art universities in Russia.

However, the painting and decoration of buildings did not appeal to the talented Dugarzhapov. He did not like to be locked up and write according to the order and opinion of the customer. Bato wanted to create on his own, capture personal thoughts and views on the canvas, convey his own vision of beauty and style.

Therefore, while still receiving education at the institute, the young man takes part in the All-Union Exhibition of Young Artists, held in Moscow. And later, after graduating from a higher educational institution, Bato Dugarzhapov, whose paintings have already gained some fame, signs a contract for five years and goes to France.

Creativity abroad

There, he, together with other inexperienced artists, falls into a kind of slavish subordination to their employers, who force novice painters to paint for wear and tear, and the payment for the work was scanty and did not correspond to the real value. In Paris, many of Bato's paintings were in great demand and exhibited in the Drouot auction room.

Rebelled in time, Dugarzhapov decides to leave his dishonest employers and secretly returns to Moscow, where he devotes himself to a free type of activity and takes an active part in the capital's exhibitions and galleries.

Time spent abroad, Bato evaluates in two ways. On the one hand, he sold his best work for next to nothing, receiving neither respect northanks. On the other hand, the work rewarded him with vast experience and unprecedented skill. Dugarzhapov had the opportunity to create unceasingly, surrendering to creative impulses with his whole soul.+ He learned to write quickly and with high quality, so now he can create fifty or sixty paintings a month!

The artist is indebted to the French period for writing many talented popular paintings, such as "Versailles" (painted in 2006).

For the painter, in the first place is not the image of the grandeur and impressiveness of the architecture of Versailles, but the transfer of a kind, gentle mood, which is saturated with every line, every feature of the canvas. Air and nature give freedom and lightness, a certain impregnability and rapture, so it is impossible to take your eyes off the picture.

Creative habits

Many people have a question about where the artist Bato Dugarzhapov creates his masterpieces. The paintings of the painter are created in the fresh air. In some interviews, Dugarzhapov admits that his workshop is not intended for creative activity. She's cluttered with paintings and sketches, unfinished canvases and other art supplies. Therefore, it is not surprising that a painter who loves freedom and fresh air prefers to work outside the walls of the studio.

Own exhibitions

In the mid-1990s, Bato Dugarzhapov, whose paintings began to gain all-Russian popularity, received several invitations to solo exhibitions. This favorably affects the creative search of the artist. First, he exhibited his works several times in Chita, then in Moscow (at the Central House of Artists).

One of the most popular paintings present at Dugarzhapov's solo exhibitions is Wisteria. The canvas belongs to the Crimean series of paintings by the painter, and, surprisingly, the foreground depicts not the sea or the beach, but the flowering of a beautiful southern tree.

Delicate light colors prevail in the picture, which focus the eye on the most important and most beautiful thing that Dugarzhapov wanted to convey - on the formation of new life, new flowering, new splendor.

Thanks to this, Dugarzhapov attracts attention not only at home, but also abroad. The Russian impressionist artist is beginning to be invited to foreign exhibitions. Here it is necessary to mention the participation of Bato in the Milan exhibition “The World of Flowers” (Italy) and the London exhibition “Amadeus Gallery” (England).

Monumental activity

At the age of thirty-three, the artist was invited to Maximov's creative group to paint a cult building. PerBato used his skills as a master muralist several times throughout his life.

The huge frescoes that needed to be painted made a big impression on Dugarzhapov's imagination. For example, he had to paint the sixteen-meter wings of the Seraphim with a roller. Such creative activity inspired and fascinated.

However, the painter admits that participation in the painting of churches did not make him a more religious person. He has little faith, but he hopes sooner or later to come to God with all his soul.

Specific Creativity

Paintings of Bato Dugarzhapov differ from many modern creations in their gentle, luminous painting and purity. When you look at the works of the artist, the soul becomes light and joyful. The canvases do not crush heavy realism or rough reality. The writing style is airy and soulful.

For example, the painting "Lagoon", painted by the artist in 2011. The canvas conveys not the power of the waves and the splendor of the surrounding expanses, but the gentle blue of the sea, its quiet surface and cool, refreshing breath.

Surrounding landscapes rendered in frequent strong strokes help to realize the soft, caressing solemnity of the seascape.

Many, even slightly touching the work of a talented master, note that his canvases are sunny and airy, carry a good mood and faith in beauty. There is an opinion that the manner of the image is so bright and brilliant that it is impossible to look at the pictures without squinting, as if from dazzling sunlight.

One of the brightest examples of this is the picture "White Dreams", which breathes with the energy of the sea, the expression of the sun and incomprehensible supernatural bliss.

However, not everyone shares this positive view. Some do not understand impressionistic art at all, or they see only underpainting and blurring in Dugarzhapov's paintings.
