Kirill Venopus is the pseudonym of the son of the popular TV presenter Sergei Suponev. His father was a real screen star in the 90s. He captivated the audience with fascinating children's programs that were in demand among all generations of Russians at that time. Cyril from an early age was carried away by the profession of the pope. It seemed that his future was clear. However, soon after the tragic death of Sergei, the life of his son was cut short. In this article, we will talk about his biography and creative career.
Childhood
It was under the name Cyril Venopus that many viewers recognized the young son of the popular TV presenter Sergei Suponev when he first appeared on the screen. Kirill was born in 1984 in a creative family. His grandfather served in the Theater of Satire as an actor along with his grandmother, who was an accompanist and pianist. The boy's parents, as well as his aunt and uncle, worked fortelevision.
The son of Sergei Suponev himself, Kirill, recalled that in childhood he grew up as a capricious child. For example, he refused to wear a school uniform, although such a practice existed everywhere, smoked, skipped classes, and gave insulting nicknames to his peers. The boy's behavior was so defiant that in the second grade they even threatened to kick him out of school.
The problems continued until Kirill was transferred to the school his father graduated from. The authority of the TV presenter, already popular at that time, played a decisive role. Although academic performance still left much to be desired, there were no more behavioral problems.
Talent
From childhood, Kirill was considered a talented child. In addition, he was very sociable, which contributed to his popularity. However, problems soon began in the boy's family: his parents broke up when he was 10 years old. This was a serious blow to him. Many relatives believe that Kirill never fully recovered from him.
Suponev Sr. early began to involve him in filming in television projects as a presenter. For example, the hero of our article appeared in the program "Everything is Possible" under the name Cyril Venopus. It was his pseudonym, which appeared when the name Suponev was written backwards.
Popularity came to the student pretty quickly. All classmates knew who Cyril Venopus was. At school, he began to enjoy additional authority.
After school, Kirill Venopus (under this pseudonym he worked for several years) entered the Moscow Institute of International Relationsat the Faculty of Journalism. Having received a diploma, he returned to television as a certified specialist.
Later, he was often surprised that many people think that it is difficult to enter MGIMO. He himself passed the creative competition, describing in detail how he participated in the creation of the "Everything is Possible" program. So, in the biography of Cyril Venopus, this project played an important role.
Famous father
His father has always played a big role in Kirill's life. Sergei Suponev was a popular TV presenter and producer. He played a huge role in the development of domestic children's television. Glory came to him after the projects "Up to 16 and older", "Star Hour", "Marathon-15", "Call of the Jungle".
Since the mid-90s, he has become the author and producer of a large number of projects, which are mainly released on Channel One. These are the programs "Seven Troubles - One Answer", "KOAPP", "The Last Hero", "Investigation leads Kolobkov", "Themselves with a mustache".
Children and parents were delighted with these programs, which educate and entertain at the same time. It is believed that Suponev managed to bring up several generations of young viewers, many of whom still remember the presenter and are grateful to him.
Interestingly, TV program host Sergei Suponev began his career on television in 1980 as an auxiliary worker. Six years later, he became a correspondent for the youth program "Up to 16 and older." Popularity came to him in 1989, when he began to lead"Marathon-15", and the show "Star Hour" made it truly famous.
In 2001, Suponev tragically died at the age of 38. In the Tver region, he rode a snowmobile on the ice of the Volga. At full speed, the presenter crashed into a wooden pier.
Television work
After graduating from MGIMO, Kirill, like his father, came to work on television. He served as a director, developed his own projects. It is noteworthy that at the same time he did not strive for fame, did not dream of becoming a leader, although his father's friends repeatedly offered to help him in this. It seemed to many that, on the contrary, he was trying his best to remain in the shadows while working at Ostankino.
For example, after the tragic death of his father, it was he who was offered to host the popular at that time program "Star Hour", but he refused.
Career development on television never happened. Perhaps because Cyril did not aspire to this. He said that he did not want to fulfill someone else's will, he wanted to do and invent everything on his own, regardless of the opinions of others.
Character
In the biography of Kirill Suponev, the family played an important role. The divorce of his parents, the death of his father shocked him greatly. From a cheerful and sociable person, he turned into an introvert, constantly experiencing personal grief. The hero of our article tried to avoid communicating with journalists.
At the same time, friends say that he has repeatedly stated that he wants to achieve a lot in life. However, at some point, something broke in him. Cyril remained very demanding of himself. Even a small setback could drive him into a prolonged depression. He was often in a depressed state of mind. In the last years of his life, he practically did not get out of depression.
Passion for music and personal life
Having said goodbye to television, he turned to music. He performed in the rock band "Romeo Must Die" as a drummer. But he never achieved popularity in his work.
It is known that he spent the last year of his life in a civil marriage with a girl named Anna. He met her when he studied at MGIMO.
Kirill admitted that Anya taught him to be responsible and serious, opened for him the universe of real cinema, filled with world-famous directors, whom young Suponev dreamed of being like.
Death
Kirill's life ended quite suddenly, even for his closest friends. On September 27, 2013, he asked his mother to give him a ride to an apartment on Osenny Boulevard, where some of his things were left. On the same day, he was going to leave with his band on tour in St. Petersburg.
When we arrived at the house, he asked us not to turn off the engine, saying that he would be back soon. When too much time passed, the mother went up to the apartment, where she saw her already dead son in a noose. Kirill left no note, there were no signs of a struggle. He was 28 years old.
The investigation considered different options for what happened, but in the end it was agreed that it was suicide. The young man had been depressed for a long time, which in recent years turned into a mental disorder.
Mother, who spoke with him a few minutes before his death, assures that he did not have any noticeable mental disorders, he did not take drugs.
