Artist biography

The future performer of musicals was born in the maternity hospital of Nizhny Tagil on October 13, 1986. He studied at a regular high school. Zhenya's parents work in the theater, and this circumstance left a deep imprint on his entire future life. Not a single day in an artistic family was complete without all sorts of jokes and jokes. His father even joked about this that there was not a single person in the house of a working profession. From early childhood, the boy imitated artists, read poetry, was fond of acting, and at school he took part in festive productions and performances.

From the age of six, Evgeny Zaitsev began to seriously engage in vocals. As a child, the future actor made a lot of efforts in order to gain the experience necessary for this profession. After graduationthe young man had a choice: to continue his studies at a music school in the guitar class or to go to the theater.

The teacher at the studio that Zhenya attended during his school years advised me to enter the theater institute in the department of musical comedy, since there you can play, sing, and dance.

Choosing a Life Path

Having decided to conquer the stage, the young man, after graduating from school in 2004, submits documents to the Yekaterinburg State Theater Institute for the Department of Musical Theater Actor. There, our hero was trained in a workshop under the guidance of the People's Artist of Russia, professor and wonderful teacher Strezhnev Kirill Savelyevich.

In 2005-2011, Evgeny Zaitsev actively worked as a soloist of the Yekaterinburg Musical Comedy Theater. And after graduation, he played diverse roles in productions of classical works.

It is worth noting that some images were even created specifically for the talented young artist. For example, Alexander Pantykin and Konstantin Rubinsky developed the roles of Mitya Ageev in the play "Silicon Fool". This has never happened before in theater practice.

At the beginning of his creative career, the young artist played mostly small episodic images and even drunkards. But then the main roles appeared in major productions, and Evgeny plunged headlong into work.

Moving to Moscow

The Golden Mask Festival, held annually in Moscow, awards awards in the genres of operetta and musical. Aspiring actor EugeneZaitsev, together with the troupe of the Yekaterinburg theater, came to this festival with the play Dead Souls. Before leaving for his hometown, there was a free day, and the artist decided to try his hand at the casting "The Sound of Music" of the Stage Entertainment company, which took place at the same time in Moscow.

Returning home to Yekaterinburg, Zhenya found out that he had passed to the second round in the competition. Then he went to Moscow and went through the third round. By the way, in the theater he did not tell anyone about the casting. The artist was already thinking about moving to the capital and working there, but a very serious lead was needed. As a result, when he was offered a role in the production of The Sound of Music, Eugene had to make a decision. It was given to him with difficulty. After all, there were throwing, and doubts. They parted very well and agreed that within six months the aspiring musical artist would visit Yekaterinburg while new artists for his role were approved.

Work in Moscow

Talent and hard work paid off. Behind the young actor's shoulders are such major productions of musicals as The Little Mermaid, The Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music, Chaplin and many others. Evgeny Zaitsev is an actor who was nominated 4 times for the very prestigious Golden Mask award.

Youth, talent, vocal abilities, artistry - our hero has all the data to shine on stage. But for some roles Zhenya still had a lot to learn. Evgeny Zaitsev is an actor whose personal life is still only in dreams. Zhenya himself admits that his work now takes almost all the time. And in the hours free from creativity, our hero improves his English, plays the guitar and meets with friends, although he very rarely manages to do this due to being busy. In between rehearsals, he likes to travel the world and discover something new. Evgeny Zaitsev is an actor whose wife is only in his future plans so far. He devotes his youth and talent to art.
