The variety of colors in nature knows no bounds. It is enough to watch the sky during the day to be convinced of this. A person has learned not only to recreate, but also to create new shades, colors, and then use their richness and potential both for aesthetic and therapeutic purposes.
For example, pastel colors are increasingly used in the decoration of our apartments and flats. They have long been the favorites of designers. Why did they win our hearts, because pastel colors are soft colors with a lot of white. They sometimes seem as if faded, faded. But these are always calm noble tones: cream, lavender, creamy, mist color…
It is this property that designers use, especially those who know a lot about color therapy. Pastel colors in the interior create an atmosphere of purity, airiness, lightness. They visually enlarge the space. They not only calm down, but also set you up for work, for creation, and when necessary - for relaxation. That is why it is not recommended to paint a nursery or an office inintense colors.
After all, not only the energy of color, which could be questioned, is transmitted to us. Colors affect the subconscious. If, for example, you do not have enough energy, it is recommended to use red and yellow in clothes and interior - they awaken activity. Conversely, if you want to avoid irritants if your nervous system is overexcited, pastel colors are the best.
Paint manufacturers compete with each other in ingenuity and imagination. And there are plenty to choose from. For example, pastel shades of green are mint, light green, olive, delicate apple. In beige shades we find ivory, coffee with milk, sand. There is a huge selection of both pink and terracotta colors. Here pastel colors are presented, for example, withered rose, powdery, caramel, apricot, peach.
A distinctive feature of these colors is that they are perfectly combined with each other in any combination.
But compared to the dark ones, they lose a lot. Therefore, in an interior in soft colors, it is best to avoid an abundance of bright elements and dark furniture. In extreme cases, you can add two or three more saturated accents, and choose the decoration in white or light colors.
Pink and lilac shades are most often used in children's rooms, but you can choose a noble combination for the ladies' bedroom or living room. Greens and shades of blue will look great in the kitchen, in the office, in the bathroom. Classic living rooms are most often decorated with various shades of beige and terracotta in combination with white. This range is extremely neutral, but at the same time creates a cozy and warm atmosphere.
Pastel colors are often used both in the halls and in the corridors. Pay attention also to the professional design of the offices. There you will rarely find flashy rich colors. The atmosphere should set you up for work, for a calm solution to problems, and not distract attention and not be an underlying irritant. The same applies to the interiors of shops and restaurants, because psychologists have long noticed that a person stays longer in rooms with calm wall decoration, and tends to leave dark and gloomy ones as soon as possible. Knowing the intricacies of color perception, you can create a truly comfortable design for your home or office.
