Anbu are secret agents who are under the direct command of the Kage. This organization exists in Konoha, the village of Hidden Sand and Hidden Mist. Most often in Naruto, the Anbu send their members in groups that are formed depending on the requirements of the upcoming task. Why do they exist?

Even the people of Konoha don't know the real names of their secret protectors. Not every Anbu member can guess who exactly he goes on missions with. Due to the level of secrecy that surrounds the members of this group, there is a lot of speculation among the general population that those shinobi who enter and leave the village without even eating are members of this secret organization.

The main task of the Anbu is to protect their home village from various threats. To do this, they need to go to enemy territory, which, of course, is associated with a huge risk. Often they have to face the strongest shinobi of other villages. The Anbu engage in human assassination, espionage, and missions that require unique or complex techniques.

Some of the members of the organization work as interrogators that penetrate the enemy's mind in order to obtain valuable information for their village. Due to the fact that Anbu shinobi perform missions vital to the existence of Konoha, they cannot be arrested by ordinary police units without a proper warrant.

Dedication

Serving in the Anbu carries a great risk to life, so many of the members carry out their service to the end. However, some of the Anbu may voluntarily retire from the secret organization and return to their former shinobi service. For example, Hatake Kakashi did this.

Anbu training deals with the detailed study of the structure of the human body. Hidden Mist Village has a special branch of the Anbu known as hunter ninjas. They are engaged in hunting down the apostates of their village and eliminate them. In place, they leave only the head, as confirmation of the work done. They destroy the rest of the body so as not to leave any clues for the enemies.

Anbu Root

In Konoha, there is a special division of the Anbu called the Root. It was created and run by Danzō Shimura. He sends his subordinates on clandestine missions that are supposed to bring benefits and advantage to the Hidden Leaf.

The members of the Root are trained in such a way as to be completely emotionless. This allows you to unquestioningly obey all orders from the leadership, even if they can in any way harm the village itself. All members of the Root have a special seal on the back of their tongue. She doesn't let them say anything related to Danzō or Root himself.
