Vladimir Viktorovich Orlov was born in 1936. His father worked as a journalist. He entered the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University in 1954.
Youth years
The future writer was fond of cinema, believing that it could replace other forms of art. However, at the end of the 3rd year, Vladimir Orlov stopped developing scenarios and sports. The reason for this was the he alth of the parents, which was shaken. After that, he was hired by the newspaper "Soviet Russia" as a reporter, where he took place on the fourth page. While still a student in 1957, Vladimir Orlov went to Siberia. The first place of stay was the Altai virgin lands, and later - the Yenisei. His graduation project described the activities of the builders of the Abakan-Taishet road. Having successfully defended his work and graduated from the university in 1959, Vladimir Orlov received an invitation from the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper.
First works
For 10 years the writer has worked in various editorial departments. The activity of Vladimir Orlov was active and meant many trips. After working for some time, the writer realized that essays, reports and correspondence did notcan express his creativity, which is why I decided to write long pieces.
I had to compose at night and early in the morning, before work, because of this there were delays to the editorial office. The first work, the novel "S alted Watermelon", was published in 1963 in the magazine "Youth". Art lovers appreciated it. In addition, based on his novel, a film adaptation was made and performances were staged in theaters. In 1965, the author was admitted to the Writers' Union of the USSR. In 1968, a second novel was published, titled After the Rain on Thursday. Combining work in the editorial office and writing novels was very difficult for Vladimir Orlov, and in 1969 he decided to leave Komsomolskaya Pravda. However, bad times came in the life of the writer. For almost 7 years, no one published his work. As Vladimir Orlov thought, he was considered unpromising. Romantic optimism had dried up by that time. In the first place came the socialist mirage that prevailed in society. Benefited from it were cynical and dishonest people who met their needs.
Ideal for a writer
Vladimir Orlov is a writer who was born under the sign of Virgo and has always considered himself a prudent person. He perceived the reality of that time as an inevitable given, which he could not change. He never got involved in all sorts of squabbles and scandals, he also did not like to fight. Johann Bach considered the ideal person for himself. For the composer, the first priority was to ensure the well-being of hisbeloved family, find a good job, drink good beer in your free time. And in his work, he strove for sublimity. While in Germany, the writer visited many of the habitats of Johann Bach. After some time, Vladimir Orlov realized that the German composer was the prototype of the hero Altist Danilov.
Knowing the value of patience
During the 70s, Orlov realized that in the work of any writer in the first place should be patience, as well as the ability to preserve the identity of the individual. And most importantly, to do what you love, to write novels, because the readers did not see the poems of Vladimir Orlov. In 1972, the writer completed work on the novel The Incident in Nikolskoye. It was published in the oldest journal "New World". For two years, Vladimir Orlov had to live with his own hopes, which were destroyed by censorship. I had to earn my living by reviewing and translating from the Lezgi language (for children's literature). In 1976, fairly censored, a unique novel was released by the Soviet Writer publishing house. The creation of Vladimir Orlov was an everyday drama. Some part of the nature of the writer resulted in a fantastic story about the Ostankino brownie. It was published 16 years later.
Ostankino stories cycle
Orlov was very fond of science fiction, the production of "The Blue Bird" at the Moscow Art Theater and "The Nutcracker" by Grigorovich made a great impression. Vladimir Orlov did not write poetry for children. Orlov's favorite writers were Bulgakov, Swift, Rabelais, Gogol, which led to the presence in his works of the genre of magical realism. The novel "Violist Danilov" for 3 years went through all the instances, until it was published in 1980. From the side of the public, a wide interest was shown in him - both in his native country and abroad. Thus, for Vladimir Orlov, such success was akin to the sensations of a person who heard the sound of "copper pipes". The next novel, The Apothecary, which also did not come out immediately, but only 2 years later (in 1988), did not arouse much interest among the people, because it was not written on the topic of the day.
For several years, Vladimir Orlov has been writing essays. However, I realized that my own nature cannot live without writing works. After that, he began work on the novel Shevrikuka, or Love for a Ghost. The work was published in parts, as it was written, by the magazine "Youth". The last episode of the novel was completed by Vladimir Orlov in 1997, thus completing the last part of the Ostankino Stories. The reason for writing "Shevrikuki …" was the writer's own conscience. Vladimir Orlov in the late 80s worked at the Literary Institute and conducted seminars. From his students, he demanded the writing of new works, so it was necessary to create yourself. Working with students made the writer feel useful.
Works of recent years
In 2008, the novel Kamergersky Lane was published. The plot describes the life of people living in the alley. There are household, semi-detective and love episodes. The novel is published in 2011"Frogs". The plot describes the life of a writer who is in a creative crisis, but the case of frogs radically changes his fate. The last novel was published in 2013 and is called The Earth is Shaped as a Suitcase. Reading it, we discover a new world with many mysteries. It is no exaggeration to put an equal sign between the title of genius and the name of Vladimir Orlov, whose biography is also very interesting and rich.
