Estonian and Russian actor Kirill Kyaro starred as the Sniffer. He began acting in films in 2002 and mainly in episodes. "The Sniffer" brought Cyril wide fame and popularity. Judging by the reviews, in the 3rd season of The Sniffer, Kyaro most fully got used to the image of the main character.

The role of Colonel Viktor Lebedev, the Sniffer's best friend, went to Ivan Oganesyan, an actor known to viewers from many TV shows. The role of Yulia, the ex-wife of the Sniffer, was played by actress Maria Anikanova, familiar to theatergoers from productions at the Sovremennik Theater. The role played by Anikanova is very ambiguous. Someone considers Yulia a bitch, and someone thinks that she still loves her husband, and her actions are directly related to the feeling of annoyance that she cannot live next to him.

As you might expect, the reviews are diametrically opposed. Minor quibbles aside, there are some very valuable critiques, especially about plot inconsistencies that make it seem like whoever wrote the script for Season 3 doesn't know how Season 2 ended. It would be nice for the writer to pay attention to this. But how many people - so many opinions. Someone thinks that if the first season was more or less good, then the second one is already "sour", and the third one is just "wretched". Someone thinks the series is cool and is looking forward to continuing. To form your own opinion about the film, you just have to watch it.
