In 1982, a film about the era of Peter the Great was released on the screens of the Soviet Union. The actors played excellently. "Young Russia" is a historical tape that takes us back to a time when there were many changes in the state that not everyone agreed with.
The beginning of glorious deeds…
The construction of a new Russia is advancing with great difficulty. The young Tsar Peter the Great makes a lot of efforts to make everything work out. In the Russian North, the process of cutting through the notorious window to Europe is underway. The people who live here have a life full of dangers and adventures. Many strong and brave people perform feats for the glory of their Fatherland. It was then, at the turn of the eighteenth century, that the formation of the Russian navy took place.
1689 Tsar Peter the Great was only 17 years old. A passion for shipbuilding burst into his life. Now he builds ships and shipyards. All this is happening near Pereslavl-Zalessky. The young tsar is assisted by talented shipbuilding engineers who arrived here from Holland. He tries to learn from them everything that they themselves can do. But often he is told about no lesstalented Russian craftsmen who live in Arkhangelsk, by the White Sea.
Royal trail
Peter the Great left a significant mark on the history of the development of the Russian state. And it so happened that his successes, which he tried so hard to get, did not bring much understanding and respect from representatives of other states. But the king did not take this to heart and confidently walked towards the goal set by himself. This is how the actors tried to play. "Young Russia" tells about a very complex and difficult historical period. At that very difficult time, the fate of ordinary people was closely intertwined with the fate of the state.
Very different from others similar in theme, the painting “Young Russia” turned out. The film carefully described the long time when the construction of the new Russia took place. It was a very important period in the life of the state. It was rather difficult to “open” a window to Europe, because the old man Sever was always quite serious both as a satellite and as a rival. He often gave people unexpected surprises. And not always pleasant. It was a time of strong and courageous people and their exploits for the benefit of their state.
Formation of the Russian fleet
The TV screens showed a real picture, which told in great detail, step by step, how the formation of the fleet took place on the territory of Russia. This task was not an easy one. There were many obstacles. All this happened at the turn of the eighteenth century. The king, who was very young at that time, had to face a large number of life troubles and difficultsituations that were conditioned by the burden of his power.
And everything started at the lake. It was there, in a beautiful area, that the Russian monarch had the idea to learn the basics of shipbuilding. Yes, the times were very difficult. Not every ruler could cope with all the difficulties. But Peter the Great, as a competent head of state, was able to lead him (the state) to many important steps forward for history.
Storyline
All the events of the picture take place in the era of Peter the Great in the Russian North. The plot is based on the fate of three people. These are Captain-Commander Sylvester Ievlev (Stepan Starchikov), Lieutenant of the Customs Troops Afanasy Krykov (Alexander Fatyushin) and Pomeranian feeder Ivan Ryabov (Boris Nevzorov). It is on them that all the events of the nine-episode tape are held.
The actors played all this beautifully. "Young Russia" is a film, of course, historical, showing the full strength of the spirit of a Russian person. Each artist who came to the set made every effort to make this picture memorable for a long time. It doesn't matter if he had a main role or a secondary one. We are talking about Nikolai Olyalin (the role of Molchan Pashka), Evdokia Alekseeva (the role of Evdokha), Sergei Parshin, who played Menshikov, Leonid Kharitonov (the role of Longinov), Alexei Mironov (the role of Semisadov) and many others. And Konstantin Severny and Fyodor Valikov turned into their characters - grandfather Mokiy and grandfather Fyodor - so much that it was impossible to separate the actors from the old people they played.
By the way, it is impossible not to mention that Ivan Ryabov andSylvester Ievlev were real historical characters.
The feeling of seeing
The most important thing that can be seen in the picture is that the people who made the effort to create it treat the cultural material with great awe and love. The charm of the Russian North, the language that delights the ear, wonderful songs. Amazing plot and - as far as possible - believable props. The actors did not lag behind in their skill. "Young Russia" has gathered under its shadow a magnificent ensemble of actors.
In the picture all the characters are very carefully spelled out - both secondary and main ones. Tsar Peter turned out exactly the way he should be - active, purposeful, in places - cruel. Artist Zolotukhin Dmitry showed him very real and humane. The character of the boyars is written out by the author quite accurately.
It is impossible to even guess that Afanasy Petrovich Krykov (actor Alexander Fatyushin, who was quite young in those years, but already well known to the mass audience) will be killed, and Sylvester Petrovich Mekhonoshin will be sent to jail by order of the governor. It is good that Tsar Peter did not believe the malicious slander. Indeed, a wise, real emperor-transformer. And thanks to Dmitry Zolotukhin and Alexander Fatyushin, who diligently and carefully created their on-screen heroes, the general mood of the picture turned out: beauty and youthful excitement reign here. Taisya Ryabova, the character of Alexandra Yakovleva, amazed with her beauty and sincerity. The eyes of Ivan Lapikov, who played Archbishop Athanasius in the film, shone with wisdom and understanding.
You can, of course, criticize the sovereign, but spitting on the history of Russia is an occupation not worthy of a wise and cultured person. The king can be criticized a little for domestic policy, but in the external he did everything in his power. Peter the Great worked for the interests of Russia, because he was a true patriot of his country.
