The action of the serial film begins in 1980, when happy fathers Nikolai Ud altsov and Pyotr Yakhontov take their wives with their newborn children from the hospital. The Ud altsov family had a son, who was named Ivan, and the Yakhontovs had a daughter, who was named Masha.
Then no one could have imagined that after a few years an irreconcilable struggle would begin between families.

Ivan Stebunov was born in the Altai Territory on November 9, 1981. As a schoolboy, the boy was intensely engaged in Greco-Roman wrestling, and achieved considerable success in this field. However, having received a serious spinal injury at the age of 14, the guy was forced to forget about sports.
Ivan began to play in the theater from childhood. All the performances of the Globe Theater, where children are involved, were held with his participation. After graduating from 9 classes, the young man enters the Novosibirsk Theater School. He studied well there, but due to participation in a fight in the 2nd year, he was expelled. Then the actor went to conquer the capital, but it was already the end of June, and admission to theater universities had already ended. However, the purposeful Ivan did not despair and went to St. Petersburg, where he easily entered the acting and directing department of the St. Petersburg Academy of Theater Arts.
In 2006 he was admitted to the Sovremennik Theatre, where he has been working to this day. His best theater roles are Kirill Serebrennikov in Cleopatra and Anthony and Chatsky in Woe from Wit.
His film debut was in the filmGerman cinema "Pirates of Edelweiss". Then there was a significant role in the series "Cadets". At the moment, Ivan has more than 20 roles in movies and TV shows. Of course, the work in the series "Monogamous", whose actors so realistically embodied on the screen the life story of two ordinary Soviet families, was another confirmation of the talent of the young artist Ivan Stebunov.
Polina Strelnikova (Syrkina) was born on June 20, 1986 in the capital of Belarus, Minsk. She studied at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts. She began acting in films while still a third-year student. The first big role of Polina was noted in the film “A Very Simple Story” (Dasha), then the girl played Clementine in “Forget Herostratus”.
Practically all the tests in which Polina participated ended in her approval for the role. All the images created by the young actress are bright and captivating. The series "Monogamous", whose actors have repeatedly pleased us with an excellent game in other projects, has proved that the young actress Polina Syrkina is only on her way to the cinematic Olympus. All her works, although there are not so many of them yet, demonstrate the versatile talent of this Belarusian actress.
