Childhood

Our hero is a native Muscovite. He was born in the era of "thaw". The parents offered their son a standard program for a native of an intelligent Jewish family: sports, music, languages. Lessons were first held at home. However, the future producer hid the notes under the bed, while he himself was hiding from the teacher in the toilet. Therefore, further training took place at a music school. Alexander has been mastering the piano for 7 years. Like most children, at first he did not like music at all, and then he even entered the clarinet, which he studied for two years. Later, Alexander Gurevich more than once "strummed" on various musical instruments: either in groups of the yard-school caliber, then in the Club of the cheerful and resourceful, then at home for the soul. He also studied at a prestigious special school with an English bias and went in for swimming. The boy was very fond of animals and dreamed of becoming a biologist.

Youth

However, after graduating from school, the young man enters the MISI - the capital's Engineering andbuilding institute (now - university). In this Moscow university, not only thousands of qualified builders and architects were educated, but also about a dozen people known throughout the country. It was graduated from director Alexander Mitta, satirists Andrey Knyshev and Arkady Khait, TV presenter Leonid Yakubovich. If we take into account that Vladimir Vysotsky, Igor Kostolevsky and Gennady Khazanov also studied at MISI at different times, it becomes clear that the institute was distinguished by a democratic and creative atmosphere. Alexander Gurevich received a civil engineering education, he hardly worked in his speci alty, but he nevertheless built a house - a summer temporary hut for a summer cottage.

KVN

In the 80s, MISI played the role of the unofficial capital of KVN. The future certified builder Gurevich published wall newspapers, voiced the speeches of the university KVN team, participated in the first issue of the revived game in the 1986-1987 season, which was shown on television. In a word, student years have shown that acting, shows, creativity attract our hero more than great construction projects. In 1989, he entered the sanctuary of theatrical training - GITIS - at the department of variety direction.

Advertising is easy

The youth of Alexander Vitalyevich Gurevich fell on the most interesting time of perestroika. In the early 90s, several KVN friends began to release the first commercials. Alexander Gurevich also turned out to be in the warm company that stood at the origins of the future Video International holding. They made up adswhich is currently being studied as an exemplary one - commercials of the computer technology company "Seldom" ("Not simple, but very simple!"), the financial pyramid "System Telemarket" and many others. Gurevich was the chief director, participated in the creation of creative ideas and slogans, and personally voiced some of his works, since he has an unusual voice timbre. In 1994, he was lucky enough to take part in the famous Cannes Lions advertising festival. Twice for his videos, the director received the Remy statuette - the award of the international film event in Houston WorldFest. Until 2010, Gurevich remained one of the co-owners of Video International. Then the owners of the holding, which currently employs about 2,000 people, changed.

Television

Video International was founded in 1987 as an advertising company. Five years later, she was already engaged in television. This part of the project was headed by Alexander Gurevich, whose biography is discussed in this article. TV company "Video International" exists in the media market today - with a new logo and under a new name - "Studio 2B". However, it was popular precisely in the 90s of the last century, when the director Gurevich directed her work. Most of the projects of those years continue to delight the audience today.

The first-born product - "To My Own Director" with Alexei Lysenkov - hardly took root on Russian soil. It turned out that compatriots have few personal video cameras,and not everyone can peep funny in life. Because the creators of the project for a long time had to shoot the stories themselves. One of the best intellectual shows - "Own Game" with the permanent Peter Kuleshov and "Dialogues about Animals" with Ivan Zatevakhin - also owe their existence to our hero. A long life was prepared for the programs in which the director Gurevich acted as the host. The funny "Through the Mouth of a Baby", aired on NTV, competed with the creative "One Hundred to One" on RTR. Pilot episodes of interesting programs "The Big Question" and "Good Morning" were also filmed. Gurevich directed Studio 2B from 1992 to 2006. During this time, she also began to produce films and TV series - from "Turkish March" and "Code of Honor" to "Return of Mukhtar" and "Russian Amazons".

In 2007, the life of Alexander Gurevich took another turn. He became the general producer of children's TV channels - first "Bibigon", and since 2010 - "Carousel". Both products belong to VGTRK media holding.

Alexander Gurevich: personal life

A little is known about the life of our hero behind the scenes. For a couple of weeks a year, the family goes on vacation - Alexander Gurevich, wife Galina and daughter Masha. The director does not like organized excursions, enjoys walking around new cities inat a pace that suits him. He is serious about the behavior on the road, prefers the Subaru car. Gurevich's wife, Galina, is a programmer by education, but she is more involved in organizing home life and raising a child. They have been living together for over 20 years, met at the institute where both studied. Daughter Masha grew up. She, like her dad, is fond of horseback riding.
