They played a decisive role in manybattles and battles. Many wounded soldiers would not have survived without their help - it was the horses that took the fighters, who did not have the strength to continue the journey, to the appointed point: the hospital or their camp. Draft and pack horses also carried ammunition and cannons, food, without which the soldiers could not survive a day.

Now these faithful animals have been replaced by cars and tractors. But the horse still remains the same comrade and friend, who will never betray his master for anything. They are actively used in sports: in competitions, horse races and so on. Horses in the modern world not only help us earn money or carry goods from one point to another, but also heal us - in the truest sense of the word. They participate in activities with sick children, they work with disabled people, they make thousands of people around the world happy.

Required drawing materials

In order to draw a horse, as expected, we need a sheet of clean A4 paper. In addition, you need a simple pencil and an eraser to remove errors in the drawing. And also this article, in which the drawing process will be presented below. After the horse is drawn, it needs to be beautifully and accurately painted. To do this, we need paints, a brush and water. If you have prepared all this, you can safely get to work.

How to draw a horse step by step with a pencil

We take a sheet, put it horizontally and get to work. First of all, draw a large oval in the middle, then draw the neck and head.

The next step will be the image of the base of the legs (hips), tail and ears.

Further - more: draw completely the legs, eyes and mane.

Here's how easy it is to draw a horse - quite simply and without too much complexity. While it does not look very beautiful - we still need to add color to the image, which we will do now.

How to color a horse

We take dark brown and light brown paints. If you don’t have different shades of the same color at hand, don’t get discouraged: one color can be replaced with another - the horse does not have to be brown. Or you can use ordinary clean tap water. When you add water to the paint, it will become lighter - and this is to our advantage. If you have mastered how to draw a horse step by step, then coloring it will not be difficult for you.

Color the mane and tail of the horse dark brown. Everything else is in a light shade. After the horse drawn with a pencil is painted, we draw a contour along the edges with a dark shade of brown. Also, the contours will need to be drawn in separate parts as shown in the figure. On the muzzle we draw the nostrils, eye, ear, mouth and jaw of the horse. We also give the hips with a dark shade the effect of a bulge. Horseshoes are no exception either - we make sure to highlight them in dark color.

1. Draw a fold line to mark the back of the horse.
2. Draw the head.
3. Continue from the end line to draw the chest.
4. Depict the front leg with a hoof.

6. Finish the stomach and the remaining two legs with hooves.
7. Add tail, ears, mane, eye and nose.
8. Use the eraser to remove the line inside the mane. And add a background.

Drawing horses with kids

It's no secret that all children love to draw. They have a very wild imagination, but sometimes it is difficult for them to depict the desired drawing. You can introduce your children to the step-by-step method of drawing. Here, for example, are the options for reproducing a horse.

In order to interest the child, it is better to first tell him a fairy tale in which a horse appears. Or play him a cheerful song about these beautiful animals. You can also, as an option, talk about the life of horses: about what they can do, how they help people, and so on. And then - invite the child to portray the horse as shown above. And in the end, give him paint - something, and children love to color.
